Yet another book. Asura - a popular one based on Hindu mythology - a story about Ravana - the demon from our epic Ramayana. Time to go back to my roots

Not all purchased today, or even in the past week, but I just found this thread:
Monteverdi's "L'Orfeo" and "L'Incoronazione di Poppea" (Blu-ray) I've never seen a Baroque opera, and these are highly recommended recordings from Teatro alla Scalia.
Green Lantern: Rebirth (hardcover) I found a copy on eBay that was signed by both the artist and the colorist for the series.
Superman: Unbound (DVD) I keep hoping I'll find a Superman animated film that doesn't leave me feeling unfulfilled.
Castle in the Sky (Blu-ray) A Miyazaki film I haven't yet seen.

Superman: Unbound (DVD) I keep hoping I'll find a Superman animated film that doesn't leave me feeling unfulfilled. I liked Superman Vs The Elite but, yeah, in general the animated line has struggled with his movies. Odd since his TV show was probably the most consistently good in the Timmverse. I hear they're doing another Death Of Superman one even though they've done Doomsday already.

I wish that the DC animated movies didn't have to rely on the Batman angle as there's so much potential in other DC properties. An adaptation of Sinestro Corps War for example. An animated series adaptation of the Grayson comic title would work well, Dick Grayson as a spy.

The reason Batman pops up......plaster him on the cover and you sell more copies without having to spend one penny extra. Artisticaly dull but from a business POV totally sound. That's why even the covers of JL: Dark and the Teen Titans Vs JL have Batman large across the cover. The Marvel animated line died completely, I quite liked some of them - Hulk Vs, Next Avengers and a few others.

Only a few hundred thousand left to turn a profit. Regardless, First Flight did OK, it was Emerald Knights selling less than any of the animated films ever that left WB cold on future GLs.

That's a horrendous cover for WAH.....I'll be buying for new extras though! I've got each Lynch movie 3 or 4 times over.

Blade Runner 2049 4K bluray mondo steelbook is my buy of the week but hon. mentions to Warner Archives for Flight Of Dragons, a true nostalgic treat I used to rent as a kid, finally on bluray and finally in it's cinematic aspect ratio rather than the cropped TV one.

My partner speaks fondly of Flight of Dragons and continues to be quite perturbed that I'd never heard of it. Looking online it seems it's not officially released in the UK but is region-free so will seek out an import copy as a gift for her.

My history with it means I couldn't be truly objective as to whether it holds up as a first time view as an adult but she'll love it regardless. Hopefully you will too - amazing voice cast; Harry Morgan from MASH, James Earl Jones, John Ritter, Victor Buono from Whatever Happened To Baby Jane and Batman '66....

Ordered Husbands & Wives and Manhattan Murder Mystery from Twilight Time, both world premieres on bluray. Two of my favourite Woody Allen films of the 90s. Most of his work is now on blu but there are some holdouts notably Deconstructing Harry and Sweet & Lowdown.

Continuing with my current obsession apart from Doctor Who, I bought the Game of thrones seasons 1-6 on Bluray. I had streamed the older seasons and bought only season 7 , but now I just have to get the behind the scenes, audio commentaries and other such extra goodies for all the seasons

Dilemma, do i pre-order the Saw 1-8 blu ray boxset or purchase each movie individually?
No product info on the box set packaging, if it's a slipcase or not.
