As has been noted in other threads, the original submission for Landbound and the final script are now available for download as bonus content.

Interesting that the War Doctor’s licensing agreement doesn’t allow his inclusion in this. That’s a bit of an odd stipulation; I wonder why?

Wonder why the War Doctor is now off-limits for licensing reasons?

Wonder why the War Doctor is now off-limits for licensing reasons? Be a different license. The same way not having 9-11 in the competition didn’t effect them being in other big finish stories. This might mean a fan could write the very first Big Finish 12th Doctor story!

We know the other New Series Short Trips have had a bit of licensing trouble. It may be that the BBC already have their own plans for the War Doctor.

Where's the War Doctor licence issue come up? because its not mentioned at all in the submission rules It's in the news story: "Story submissions can also include Doctor Who in the New Series defined as running from the 1st Doctor up to the 12th Doctor in Twice Upon a Time. The exception to this is the War Doctor – due to licensing agreements we cannot include the War Doctor in this Opportunity."

I’ll hasten to point out that all the article says is that the War Doctor can’t be used for this. It doesn’t say anything at all about Big Finish’s ability or inability to use the character.

It does fit with the fact that BF apparently had some trouble getting the Jago & Litefoot Short Trips commissioned, which IIRC was because they're straightforward readings rather than full-cast (or "partially-cast" like the CCs or EAs) and that crossed over with the BBC's own Who audios, plus the unexplained problems with the two delayed Jackie/Metacrisis Trips.

Lovely to have an opportunity to commemorate the much missed Paul again.
I've been pretty absent from this site over the past year (tied up with the first year of my OU degree), but simply can't miss this opportunity. I'm currently working on my idea for a Sixie story set in modern day London as a contrast to last year's historical story with Five.
Good luck everyone!

They are still on the release schedule, the latest Vortex placed them in November and December. Good luck to anyone entering from this forum.

Opening this up to the New Series has made my list of ideas skyrocket. One of them is quite possibly the stupidest Doctor Who idea I've ever had and I'm thrilled by it.

Good luck to all who enter! Writing isn’t normally my cup of tea, I might have given it a go if The War Doctor was included, but it’s not to be.
I wonder if there was some special agreement in getting the four War Doctor sets? I notice that on the Big Finish ranges page he’s “Doctor Who: The War Doctor”, which stands apart from the Collected title that the other Doctors have, perhaps it’s destined to remain like that! A shame, but I’ve adored what we’ve got from Big Finish; and with Sir John Hurt no less!

I'm actually happy with the submission limit: it'll encourage more self-discipline, and combat any spreadshot of multiple subpar stories. My hope is that, now with the Doctors increased, it means we won't lose out on having runners up like last year.
