On CDs sold through third parties like at conventions or Forbidden Planet I can understand, but I'm hearing it on downloads I've purchased and downloaded from Big Finish directly, sometimes on the Big Finish app.

It's irritating to some people. Make it a separate track so it can be deleted and there'd be no problem.

Big Finish has the right to brand their material. It is literally a five second identification that does not effect the audio production one bit. To make an issue out of something so minor, well, just strikes me as absurd.

I think moaning about something that last 2 seconds is a bit pointless

I am fine with it, it’s not that every single movie does not go through all the studios, production & distribution before every movie......
I wonder how many really rant about that! Not too many I suspect.
I would like it to have the title too.
But if you are going to do it, please not nick, we hear enough of him.
I really hated it when they stuck a trailer at the start of the cd, now that did drive me up the wall, as did the subscribers get more...tag line....they never did only in main range!

I thought they should have changed it to, Subscribers get more. Just not as much as they used to.I do think as they have moved away from the Main Range being the driving force behind the company that it once was that extended extras should be opened up to anyone who purchases the title from Big Finish and not just subscribers. And love him or not, Nick is the voice of Big Finish. And the hand. And the foot. And the...

Not a fan of different opinions then I guess. The fact that this matter has its own thread surely indicates that some people do have a different opinion. If they made it a separate track at the start then people who didn't care for it could delete it before listening and everyone's a winner. Unless of course you also feel that compromise is problematic?

Unless of course you also feel that compromise is problematic? Not to be argumentative but I would argue that. This is one of those cases where it is something so minor, so quick that people spend more time complaining about than the This Is A Big Finish Production tag then it takes for Nick to speak it. And I don't see where Big Finish has to compromise on anything. They have the right to brand their material and a separate track honestly defeats the purpose of having the tag there. Of course people have the right to have an opinion on it but I also have the right to have the opinion that complaining about this particular thing is ridiculous. And at this point I've spent more time talking about this than I ever would have thought. If I have ruffled anyone's feathers, you all have my sincerest apologies.

They have the right to brand their material and a separate track honestly defeats the purpose of having the tag there. The dedicated pirate would have no problem in running track one through free audio editing software and removing the five seconds of audio if they so chose so I don't really think it does serve a useful purpose in that sense. As for identifying the company on streaming platforms, again, I can't see why a separate track would make any difference.

Since December the releases have started with this at the start of each story on each release. Personally I think it's annoying, but I get everything through Big Finish. I don't mind the reading of the cast list at the end though. What do you guys think? Is the cast list read over the ending music like the first series of the 8DAs?. If so I would find that a bit irritating
