Prophetically Alan Barnes is included (as a former DWM editor), he calls 'The Star Beast' his favourite strip!

When we were guessing I did say, as many did, it would make sense to start with Iron Legion and Star Beast. It's when the Who strips became 2000AD-like more than traditional TV-comic inspired. It's by far the most famous run of the classic era comics.
I ache to hear the Steve Parkhouse era Fifth and Sixth Doctor strips adapted. Especially Voyager. Then some Alan McKenzie strips like War Game.

This release also gives us a lot of 4th Doctor to open the year with, as well as the 4th Doctor working with a new companion and on his own.

Those Mills/Wagner/Moore/Parkhouse and Dave Gibbons drawn DWW strips were my favourite comic strips ever... and especially so when Marvel US coloured them and released them in proper size comics!

I also think that the licensing was a lot easier and cheaper compared to the novels as the majority of the comics are still in print and have a simpler copyright process due to Panini still being a working company. They also have a longtime working relationship with one of the strips' co-writers, Pat Mills, who wrote The Song of Megaptera, The Scapegoat and Dead London for Big Finish way back when. Don't think that relationship exists anymore. Pat Mills didn't even know these adaptations were happening!

I don't do comics (any). Never been into them, even as a kid. BUT, this is Big Finish, there is an original Doctor cast (Tom Baker, even), so of course I pre-ordered.
Might as well give them my bank account login info at this point.

What a load of rubbish, and a waste of money! HA! Well, at least you are spreading your usual brand of sunshine outside of the TV Doctor Who section. Glad to see your basic open minded nature travels and you aren't pre-judging something you have not personally seen or listened to.

I hate to say this but if you sell your rights to material away, you aren't going to receive any residuals or other payments. And professionally, as Mills notes, his gripe is with Panini, not Big Finish.

What a load of rubbish, and a waste of money! Don't buy it then mate. I won't, and I haven't bought any Big Finish in many years. Their standard has plummeted.
