Hold on a sec. Unless BF gave permission, how is the plot of Doctor dealing with Cybermen alongside Mary Shelly inspiring Frankenstein not copyright infringement territory?
Because you can't copyright ideas. If you could the first person to do Sherlock Holmes vs Dracula would have been a multi-millionaire.
And it's not even a particularly unique idea. Mary Shelly falls squarely in the Celeb Historicals arena and bringing the Cybermen into it is the logical (sorry) next step.
True, you can't copyright ideas. But a certain point I can't define it's copying something you can't. At a certain point, one has to get rights.

White Princess actor is on one of Emma Sullivan's episodes.
Also, filming's back in Cardiff, at an old ballet school. Seems all interiors.

In a world were TV show's futures are increasingly decided by their International Reach the more eyeballs it gets the better. I wonder how many people in China are watching? www.bleedingcool.com/2019/01/30/doctorwho-bbc-china-posters/I also wonder what the episodes are like once the Chinese Censors have their way with them. It's going to be a bit of a challenge for them turning Jack and Bill straight...

It's going to be a bit of a challenge for them turning Jack and Bill straight... Maybe by flashing giant disclaimers claiming those characters are just close friends guys, seriously. Or that kissing is some foreign European form of greeting

Does anybody have an accurate report of this story? Because all the ones I've seen talk about well-known BBC tv shows like "Stath Lets Flats".

NEW WRITER.
So, along with Chibs and Hime, we now officially have ex-S11 script editor and 'The A-List' creator Nina Metivier onboard (so basically, a Helen Raynor situation).

“What do you think it feels like for them ‒ to be such tiny, ephemeral fragments of existence?”
Eternals perhaps? Old Ones? That, or the Time Lords decided they needed a Goth rebranding. The red and orange is so 53rd century.

Maybe it’s new incarnations of the black and white guardians, considering one of them has long white hair and blue white robes, and the other has black robes and that would fit with the strange esoteric quote 🤔
I do also like the goth Time Lord theory though 😄

Apparently, Chibnall has left, in case someone here hasn't heard. Just a rumour, though, for now, but it's been confirmed by people I know with reputable sources. Take it, as always, with a decent amount of salt.

Take it, as always, with a decent amount of salt. Just coming on to post the same. Two people who aren't typical rumour mongers, posting any old claptrap rumour, on my FB tonight have posted that they've heard the same - that Chibnall is going and it's going now, not when the season's shoot is done and post-finished. One to watch unfold I think! Seems to be a bit more smoke than usual this time, let's see if there's fire.

Alright, so key points to remember here: 1) This doesn't affect S12. The scripts, locations, cast, crew yadda yadda are already locked, and a good chunk already filmed. Irrespective of this, S12 is still getting finished and broadcast. Important not to mistake this for cancellation of either S12 or NuWho. 2) Drastic leaves like this, partway through production, are not standard practice. For Chris to abruptly leave would imply a fallout with the BBC. In which case, there's clearly a lot more going on than previously thought. Issues of creative control, scheduling problems, contract and financial disagreements, there's a lot that could've been at the root of 'this', IF there is a 'This'. 3) If this was the case, as currently painted, the question then becomes: how does the timeline make sense? There's no way this was an overnight decision to quit, meaning the BBC would've had to know, or suspect, he was going or intending to depart. Why wouldn't the Beeb have prepared a proper, official statement, likely in co-ordination with Chris and possibly his agent? Depatures, just ike show commissions and renewals, like this are announced MONTHS after they are signed and sealed.
4) This could, alternately, be a misunderstanding over Chris having to suddenly leave production for a while due to a private matter, like a family emergency, and he will be back once that's settled. Or it's just another elaborate hoax like the Jodie pregnancy claim.

The main source for this appears to be an anonymous twitter account called Doctor Who’s Future. So I’d wait for something official.
I mean if someone on production is going to leak the news of the showrunner’s sudden departure why on earth would they go to an anonymous twitter user instead a tabloid?

I'll put this up to further cast doubt about the legitimacy of this (in addition to his reviews, MRT also works as a runner and Third AD in TV, so this comes from someone also in the trenches):
