This tweet from the Doctor Who Twitter is interesting. The Witchfinders has the new logo on the cover, but will retain the classic one on the spine for consistency, but they say this will be the standard moving forward, implying more on the way.

All that’s left to do I guess is speculate which novel will be next after the ones that have been announced. I’d be all for an Unquiet Dead adaptation written in the style of Dickens myself.

Tooth & Claw by RTD, Silence in the Library / Forest of the Dead by Moffat and Nightmare in Silver by Gaiman are my top three. Three stories I love with the scope for expansion.
Not 100% sure how feasible the latter is, but he did have a couple of his works published in Adventures in Lockdown, so there’s hope yet. Or it was acceptable because it’s for charity!

The next issue of DWM will come with a free 'new and exclusive' Target book; that probably means a standard edition but specially printed, and not taken from stock.
But what if it was genuinely exclusive - a story not novelised before? What might it be? "Kill the Moon"? "Dimensions in Time"? "Doctor Conkeror"?!

Failing that, Deep Breath, Flatline - especially with some scenes from the point of view of the victims - , The Woman Who Fell To Earth, Unicorn And Wasp (obvs in the style of Agatha Christie) and (because it would be wonderful) The World Shapers.

I’d be keen to see some chapters from the point of view from The Boneless myself. How they view the three dimensional world and so forth. Whilst still hopefully retaining their sense of ambiguity in terms of their motives.

I myself would be minded to assume that they have an index of the range lined up (as they did for DWM last year). Something paperback sized and formatted to look flush on the shelf. About half a page per title, would make a reasonable booklet. I have recommended it before, but the following by Paul Smith takes some beating as a reference work: www.wonderfulbook.co.uk/basedon/

Not crazy about them using the Whittaker logo going forwards. I don't hate the current logo, but I feel like the Pertwee/McGann one stands out more on the cover. However, I find it absolutely bizarre that they used the Pertwee/McGann logo for 6 of these, and then the Whittaker logo for one. Why didn't they just do all with one or the other?
Anyway, ignoring my nitpicks, I'm happy that we've apparently got confirmation that more are coming. Wonder if we'll get a cut down version of Shada? Or Remembrance of the Daleks with a new cover by Anthony Dry?
I know it's probably not going to be a popular suggestion, but if they're going to do another Jodie one, I'd love for them to do Orphan 55. I feel like it's one that could benefit having a novelised version of it. Nightmare In Silver would be a good one too. There are more popular options, of course, but these stories are ones that had great potential but were let down by execution IMO.

I've said Empress of Mars would work before, should Gatiss want to do another, but he should also The Idiot's Lantern, The Unquiet Dead and Sleep No More while he's at it! All of them feel a bit like novels adapted down to 45-minute episodes... But other than the Mark Gatiss Collection: Praxeus and Can You Hear Me? - both multi-location one-parters that could use the breathing room. Amy's Choice so you could go a little deeper into the psychology of it - and while we're at it, The God Complex as well! The Pilot - possibly all in first-person from Bill's perspective! Again, this is another one with a lot going on and it covers MONTHS of time.

Inconsistent logos are a core part of the Target novelizations. The top part of the cover does seem a little empty with the current logo, though, not because the logo is bad, but just because it feels like the covers weren't designed for it. Hopefully they tweak the format a little for the next lot to make it fit better. Witchfinders is one of my favourite 13th Doctor stories, so I'm happy to see it's the first. An expanded Orphan 55 does sound like a good idea. I quite liked the episode, but I felt it had too much going on for 50 minutes. A novelization could give all the supporting characters and worldbuilding more space. Obviously Neil Gaiman's episodes would make great novels, but I can't see him having space in his schedule to write them. I'd love to read more from Moffat as well: Day of the Doctor was wonderfully creative and I'd like to see him do a similar take on one of his other stories. Wedding of River Song maybe?

This is how I feel about the BF cds, I always flip the cd cover over to the relevant era. It stands out and looks better IMHO.

Totally agree re logos. The spine is staying the same and that’s what most people will be looking at most of the time. Personally, I always get amused by people who say “Doctor Who is fundamentally about change” because a very vocal subset of fandom can’t deal with any kind of change.

Wedding of River Song maybe? That lends itself to some fun with structure. Three acts? It could be divided into "Proposal", "Nuptials" and "Reception," respectively. I once said that I'd need another shelf... I severely underestimated the arithmetic behind such a statement. I will need more than one shelf to fit all these old-new Targets, new-new Targets and unofficial Targets which have begun to number in the full dozen by themselves. The Crimson Horror's been one on my radar for a while. Long sought-after. Delighted to be closer to picking it up from a local Target to read. Nice to see Gary Russell's TV Movie novelisation getting The Crusaders/Zarbi rescue from one distributor to another, too. I've fond memories of all the little touches and details he put in it to make it work.

For next year... will they go all new or give "proper" Target releases to Power and Evil of the Daleks and the Paradise of Death? Or could I cheekily put a slightly biased word in for Obverse's unofficial Dalek movie novelisations getting an official Target release? Assuming they go all original...
The Empty Child School Reunion The Sontaran Stratagem The Snowmen Nightmare in Silver Into the Dalek Rosa
Of course, who would write them...
