My new random wishlist for DrRuth. She's the next Doctor, teams up with 13 but 13 is fatally wounded so regenerates into DrRuth & for the rest of the adventure we have 2 Doctors, 2 DrRuths!

So we got to see the Timeless Child again. Is this the Doctor watching her younger self?

The truth has been onscreen from the close of 'The Woman Who Fell to Earth' , although admittedly hidden on the inside tag of 13's striped T-Shirt... Beautiful post 11/10

So...one week left of speculation on this, in light of Ascension of the Cybermen, before we hopefully get some answers. {My current theory-} The human refugees who previously escaped through the boundary founded Gallifrey. The Brendan scenes occur in the early years of Gallifrey, the Garda being a precursor to Chancellery Guard/CIA.
After serving the Garda, Brendan’s memories are wiped, perhaps to rejoin wider society with no knowledge of what he’s been up to. This practice continued into the era of the Time Lords, with each Time Lord spending (at least) one incarnation serving the Guard/CIA and then having their memories wiped. This is where Ruth Doctor fits in. The Master learned of his unknown life at the Time Lords’ service and burned Gallifrey for that lie.
Like my previous theory-this will probably be wrong. No idea how the Timeless Child itself figures into this.
