A quick glance over Supremacy of the Cybermen #2. Artwork issues still remain. The Tenth Doctor only looks like David Tennant in that they both wear that suit. Both Gabby and Jackie look way too old for how they usually are. The too many cooks problem also remains, trying to further four different storylines with four Doctors and five companions (six if you count Jackie) in the 25 pages. Obviously a snail has better pace.
A better way of doing this should have been starting with a one-off special introducing the event, doing a month or two of each of the monthly ranges tying into the event and then wrap it up with another special issue. That way the creative team for each Doctor can contribute and let their TARDIS teams be the focus of that issue while still tying into the overall event. It'd also eliminate the artwork problems. It'd mean doing two trades to cover the event (one special and four monthlies each), but it'd be far better at plot and character representation.

future quest 2 my LCS missed it so they got it from the other store so far 3 issue od DC hanna barbera action heroes space ghost meets johnny quest meet birdman meet hercuiods on a huge cosmic adventure I LOVE IT
i want to read the scooby apocalypse and the wacky raceland books too
nightwing 3 not bad dick grayson tries to take down the court of owls from inside and starts working with his new partner raptor it was ok dick is still shown as not quite good enough to be a typical solo hero like say green arrow or captain america who have their own titles this title is twice a month
superwoman i have no clue what the ppl of current dc earth think about 1 dead superman and a bunch of super people popping up including a guy that looks exactly like the dead superman and has the same powers so its hard to really evaluate these books basically lois and lana are super duper now the art was good
batgirl rebirth 1 babs is in japan looking for a teacher drinking craft beer and staying in a hostile it was ok very hipstery and i live in brooklyn so i see it all the time
i bought these 2 just to see what was going on and what dc was doing with these characters and ill pass them on to my little cousin fangirl she will like em

the new superman 1 the origin of DCs chinese superman set in shanghai its not bad as long as you don't think about what it would take to create a being as powerful as supes the story moved well and the art was pretty good i have to say i liked it
captain marvel 6 and 7 civil war tie ins learned out a lot about whats going on in marvel they were ok the framing of the 2 issues with flash backs was a bit clunky the idea that earth have an international defense for for extraterrestrial threats is a pretty good one but none of the things going on here nor the conflict between tony and carol have anything to do with pleasent hill standoff. the art wasnt great but serviceable
hyperion 4 i dont think this book is going to be around much longer
the new superman 2 im still kind of liking this book the writer is doing some good things its fun but still showing how selfish and immature this new superman is. the art is uneven i think the artist has trouble with profiles but surprisingly good at facial expressions also it has chinese batman and chinese wonder woman. i dig his superman costume. the scientist responsible for creating them is the wonderfully named Dr Omen.
btw check out midtowncomics website and see how many books came out today its insane especially when you look at sales figures.

blue beetle rebirth solid kind of of an old school comic not a lot fat very lean story set up jamie his family , his friends then right to the action they are handling scarab similar to but different than the young justice cartoon. good book for kids 4th grade and up id say
steve rogers captain america #4 pretty good solid story thats starting taking shape now still dont love the flashbacks good art it getting a little annoying saying/typing steve roger cap and sam wilson cap
supergirl rebirth 1 honestly i found this a bit messy trying to add new 52 + tv supergirl = rebirth as a long time comic fan i kept asking in the back what ? step parents? how long has she been on earth? did she just get here ? none of that is very clear. but by the end of the book you get a sort goofy kara danvers who looks much like the tv version and works for government for some men in black type thing much like the tv. i did like the art there was a very good splash page. ill pass this along to my cousin im sure she will like it. or fans of the show will too.

Batman '66 meets Steed and Mrs Peel.
It's been appropriately crazy (Mrs Peel doing a dance to communicate with bees par example) but there's a wonderful scene of Emma revealing she knows Batman is Bruce Wayne.

so far ive read of two my four comics i bought
future quest how many comics make you smile? physically smile? well this one did for me. but i am the target audience. when i was pre schooler i would put my sister curlers on wrist and run around shouting mightor! when i was in grammar school i had a bike i named the phantom cruise because its color scheme was very similar to space ghost's ship. I AM THE TARGET AUDIENCE !! this is just an old fashion action adventure wit terrific art. check for yourself.
i also picked up 2 issues of the uncanny avengers 12 and 13
12 was the end of an ultron story line not bad but i didnt read the hole thing so it was as dramatic for me i liked the art also cap wasnt in this issue my favorite is cap so ...
the next issue had cap and it was a civil war tie in and regular penciller ryan stegman i originally dropped this book when it started last because i didnt like stegman art, seems he changed his style or the inker is fixing it.
really liked the cover and liked the interiors. this was a decent issue and shows the little cracks in the marvel u that may turn into huge chasms ill be getting the next issue

"steambusters" a Steam Punk Ghostbusters has a pair of minor, background characters called "Vince" and "Rueben", Vince wears a grey jumper and a natty black beanie and Rueben's all gruffy.... They HAVE to be a wink and a nod.
"Eleventh Doctor 2.12" more WarDoc, more smirking ChildMaster. Lovely.

so i read a bunch od detective rebirth issues the rise of the batmen they were pretty good this establishes detective as a team book with batwoman training the next gen with batman overseeing i guess. it stars as i said batwoman kate kane and batman bruce wayne who are now cousins. red robin tim drake, the spoiler stephanie brown, the orphan canssandra kane not sure if any relation, and for some reason clayface. also a new very high tech HQ. there are a lot of rumors brewing about tim drake's fate and after reading these issues i think they are probably true. ut was nice seeing stephnie again one of my favorite characters her batgirl book was a blast to read i LOVED it. the new 52/rebirth version seemed much like her when she was first introduced way back. cassandra cain former batgirl and the deadliest person alive never really worked for me. but it was still nice to see her. maybe this version of the character will be more to my liking. don't worry she is still a badass buttkicker.

I'm really enjoying the Super titles at the moment. I'm hoping Jonathan Kent is going to be with us for a long time, although I've know fandoms to be a be negative about kid characters. Superman is probably my favourite out of the comics, because of all the SupeyDad and Son bonding.
