Saga. Really like this.
Based on the writing on this, I've also bought the first trade of paper girls by the same author (different artist though)

Green Lantern, Earth One, Volume 1 - a retelling and reimagining of the origin story for Hal Jordan as a Green Lantern.
Set in the future, rather than the present, where Jordan is an ex-NASA member of a mining expedition. There are other big changes from the mainstream story that could lead to additional interesting storylines.

Braven, a kick ass & surprisingly emotional Jason Momoa action flick.

Sonic the Hedgehog (IDW) - #1-#4 Oh, right! I'd forgotten that IDW had these. How'd it go? You know what as a new world building its going well. Although its technically a sequel to the games, but you don't need to play them as the info is dropped in as we go. Ill always miss the Archie ones but hopefully this continues to pick up

Me too, they really grew into something distinct and special. My first in was "House of Cards", Sonic vs. Tails. I remember being blown away by all the effort put into it -- New Mobotropolis, Nicole, the Prowers vs. the Acorns, the lingering effects of the past couple issues. Really fascinating to see all of it develop and flourish. Bodes well that they have the same writer from the Archie series, from the looks of it. I'll add it to the pile alongside Ghosts of the Future and STC Online, and give it a go.

Where a lot of comics would ignore this, they really delved into it.
Yeah I have a lot of faith in Flynn so Im gonna keep with IDW for now

just read the first 2 issues of the new avengers book. i feel like this is same old thing that happens after a big event they avengers or justice gets reformed. you hear the same old thing thenonly thing that changes are the
faces. ghost rider is not an avenger he is an horrific spirit of vengeance. robbie the current spirit, is in complete control and sound just like any other super hero. she hulk is now a huge, HULK SMASH hulk. basically she is bronze age hulk but female. no clue what thor's new hammer is called it gold and looks just like mjolnir. so thor gets new hammers in both the comic and the movies and they dont sink up. i think thats a mistake. i
know i know movie goers are never going to read avengers comics but they should at least try to keep the mythos easy to follow. cap is post hydra but ta henisi coats run on cap where they be dealing with the fall out from
secret empire hasn't started yet. mark waid's current run on cap is basically ignoring secret empire then in july coats's will be acting like secret empire just ended and nobody liking/trusting cap. so him being an avenger
bring heat on them? or in this book secret empire and its fall out not matter? i almost forgot thor was on the hydra avengers. is thor mistrusted now? the 1 gazzilion years ago avengers feel out of continuity and dont
really matter to me. its just a way for aaron to retcon some stuff.
after first 2 issue i give it a meh plus

just finished this week's Black Panther number 1 damn it was good. its kind of weird direction it takes place in space in the future. so its right up our sci fi fans alley. ta hanesi coats has come a long way from when
started. he is putting more action then lectures in the book. when i was reading i kept ting now this is a super hero comic. even though the main character never says a word coats makes sure we know he is a hero. the art by daniel acuna is good here as well. the intergalactic empire of
wakanda check it out folks

i just finished quicksilver no surrender by saladin ahmed with art by eric ngyugen
it was solid i really wanted it to blow my sox off. if you been reading my posts i cant say enough good things about saladin's black bolt series, and i have been hearing his new exiles is very good as well. i was hoping he
could work some magic with quicksilver too. quicksilver been around since the dawn of marvel but these days he is a comic book limbo dweller. every now and again he pops up but he never quiet catches on. so i always check out
what they try to do with him to keep him active in the 616. it was solid, the art worked but wasn't great . the cover stunk the cliff hanger at the end was good.

Another of the James Bond series from Dynamite. This time, a curious little collection of tales called The Body. I've never seen a story quite done like this before. It's a fascinating read. Each issue explores a different aspect of Bond's profession: the Body, Brain, Gut, Heart and finally, Lungs. Much closer to something from le Carré. It'd be easy to see this version of Bond sitting across the room from George Smiley or claiming his hotel room key from Jonathan Pine. Far from the invincible hero, he's very much a man just doing his job.
And -- in a surprise from the library -- another Bond comic, this one from 1994 during 007's own hiatus period. Shattered Helix from Dark Horse. Like chalk and cheese, the two stories. This one is heavily entrenched in adventure and high fantasy. 007 is assigned to prevent CERBERUS agents from reaching an Antarctic research base containing some of the deadliest genetically-engineered pathogens on the Earth. Pitted against a henchman with body armour implanted beneath his skin. Like a Lewis Gilbert film with Dalton helming the title role. All the gleeful theatrics, with a very sobered Bond. It prefigures GoldenEye's approach rather nicely.
