A couple of months ago, I tried House of X/Powers of X. I can't believe such contempetious pretentious rubbish was ever published by Marvel. As with his Avengers run, it's clear that Hickman doesn't care about the characters or their legacy or comics in general and is simply shoving the characters into own narrative, regardless whether they fit, with enough placed 'shocks' to jolt readers along. The Moria retcon was one of the most pointless things I've ever read in fiction.

“Tales of the Dark Multiverse: The Judas Contract’ Extremely disappointing to say the least and just reaffirms my belief that nobody apparently has any idea on what to do with a Multiverse born from the ‘worst fears and nightmares of the heroes’ aside from just having (Insert Hero Here) go completely bonkers and killing everyone.
As I’ve said before to anyone unfortunate enough to be in earshot, you can try different things with that concept instead of resorting that type of story. Why not a story where the Question becomes a G Man or something?

Working on another volume of Carl Bark's Disney Ducks.
Last one I read, Donald studied really hard to win a quiz show, the hosts knew that and acted like brats toward him, because they don't want people to win, I guess. No wonder the poor duck's so pissed off all the time.

Doctor Who The Thirteenth Doctor Year 2 #1. 13 & fam encounter the Weeping Angels, as well as 10 & Martha! Any good?
So far, I am not really sold on these 13 Doctor comics... too simplistic and the one with the Corsair was a bit disappointing. More could have been done. For me, so far, these comics do not compare to the awesome 8th Doctor comics from DWM and Titans second 11th Doctor series (the one with the War Doctor).
I am curious about the team-up with the 10th Doctor, but will wait for reviews because I fear it will be equally lukewarm like the series with the Corsair.

Doctor Who The Thirteenth Doctor Year 2 #1. 13 & fam encounter the Weeping Angels, as well as 10 & Martha! Curiosity got the better of me and I tried this out. Wow. Mind blown. The first issue is VERY clever indeed. We basically finally get the other half of the story of "Blink".

Rivers of London- Action at a distance. My favorite Rivers of London graphic novel so far. Nightingale is awesome. Very interesting story with a great vile psychopathic villain, too. Only thing is, I would have loved for more scenes of Nightingale blowing up Nazis.

Judge Dredd case files vol.4, which contains The Mega Rackets (who remembers Slick Ike Colorado, IcePick Brown and Mah Jong?), Block Mania and The Apocalypse War.
Brilliant stuff.

Currently revisiting the Justice Society of America comics from the early noughties. Smashing stuff for the most part and I particularly enjoy the dynamic between the original wartime JSA and their more contemporary counterparts. Also, I’m frankly baffled as to why Johnny Sorrow has never been adapted for either the DCAU or the CW.

Now that Tom King's tenure writing Batman has ended, I've been reading my way through it from beginning to end. Up to #40 now, concluding the fantastic story arc with the Bruce/Selina and Clark/Lois double date, and Bats and Wonder Woman having an adventure of their own. This, to me, is an absolutely bonkers take. HoXPoX was the most I've enjoyed any X-comic in many, many years.

‘Action Comics: 865’ An issue which for the most part resolves the issues and numerous contradictions surrounding the villain of the Toyman. It’s a very welcome issue after that terrible stint of him being a child murderer during the ‘90s.

After many years of deliberating whether or not I should read them, I’ve finally decided to give ‘Bone’ a go. And I must say I’m glad I did. Throughly enjoying these first few stories and the artwork is just delightful.

‘Tintin and Alph Art’ (1983)
The last Tintin story sadly left incomplete after Hergé’s death in 1983. Even though many have provided their own versions of the story I can’t help but wonder what Hergé’s ultimate vision for the story was and what the future would hold for Tintin afterwards. Unfortunately, we will never know.
