In an hour and a half, we will all no doubt pile back on and enumerate, either succinctly or at length, our reasons for loving and/or hating it.
When we do, let's all be nice to each other. Even if we strongly disagree with others views, let's make all our posts be about the show, not each other.
Be kind everyone

That was alright. Much lower key than I expected, but very enjoyable and I like where it left everyone.
They could have spent more money on the ersatz Wilf though. That was awful.

LOVED IT! So happy the 14th Doctor gets to carry on, either peacefully retired or popping up to delight us in a future spin-off.
More mystery to the character(s) than ever before and I'm so happy I could dance!

Here. We. Go. The Finale Of Nu-Who! Yep. Right on the mark.
Season One is unmistakably now Season One, as in, very much a new beginning.
(Okay, enough of that: bombastic fun and you know what - I think that ending actually fits NuWho, and dare I stretch it, maybe even a finale for the first 60 years of the show).

I like that And Everyone was Right LOL Also whatever notes advice or read NPH got on the Role were spot on, full threat, slight camp and then a little sympathetic Regards mark687

Well..the leaks were true...I didn't like the idea when I read it, I dislike it even more seeing it happen...and we thought The Timeless child was controversial! Can't help but wonder if this is a massive mistake on RTD's part...but we'll see. That said I'll watch the Xmas special with an open mind-Gatwa is off to a very promising start i.m.o The episode itself was pretty good i.m.o, still not 100% on RTD's return and I'll never be the biggest fan of his style of Who but this was best of the specials for me. 7/10 I guess {Spoiler}Tennant really dosen't want to go. 7/10. {Spoiler}Keeping Tennant around off-screen indefinitely...rather risks undermining the new Doctor i.m.o...already seeing people on facebook/reddit etc demanding Tennant gets a spinoff

I read the leak by accident and was initially not a fan, but you know what, that really worked. A fitting finale to Nu-Who even as the show continues, which is something I don’t think many other shows could even dream of doing. Those final moments with 14 staying behind with his family really sold it for me, with Tennant’s performance being incredible.
And of course, 15 is here!!! I loved the bi-generation scene and especially how Gatwa’s costume is half of Tennant’s full costume which he loses. He instantly feels like the Doctor, helped with a bit of clunky name-dropping, though it’s a fun callback and Gatwa delivers the goods with every line. I cannot wait for just over two weeks from now when we see him begin his new adventures through the cosmos.

'Salright. I could quibble, but I've seen worse. I will predict, though, that certain Twitter-based fans who have spent the last couple of weeks smugly insisting They Are Right will now be smugly insisting And This Proves Everybody Else Was Wrong.

See, I still don't feel that. It's still just the Doctor, in the TARDIS. Nothings changed really. Although I do wonder what will happen to 14 next time he dies. Does he still have the ability to regenerate? Knowing Tennant's love for the role, I'm not likely to ever find that out.

Well..the leaks were true...I didn't like the idea when I read it I think your objections are sound (it's not the way I would do it, I'd have two new Doctors not keep the old one) but it has been suggested {Spoiler} Tennant will get to do a movie in the next year or so
so that'd plausibly be why.
(I wonder if Georgia T has tweeted anything along the lines of her "oh no, not again" post from before yet)

It. Was. Glorious.
From the impossibly wonderful turn from Neil Patrick Harris ramping it WAY up as The Toymaker, to Mel's return (talk of Sabalom Glitz in 2023!), the new UNIT and an ending that perfectly sets up The Curator, or for more Tennant at least...every second was perfect. From The Spice Girls to the Garden Party. Creepy, funny, epic and heartfelt.
But what was best? Ncuti. Ncuti is THE Doctor right away. And he keeps the Scottish accent, with kilt in the Christmas trailer!
This is the perfect love letter to where we've been - and an even better set up to where we're going. They say you can't have your cake and eat it? Who fans can. The Doctor gets a happy ending and a family at last AND gets to keep travelling in space and time ...winner-winner or....binary. FANTASTIC!
AND found time to set up "legions", "the one who waits" (IT'S SUSAN, I TELL YOU) and another Master return!

Still, think everyone on here, regardless of everything, can agree - Ncuti hit the ground running here. Even if I had hated the episode, this man's energy would still keep me going (and carrying it off in his pants, too).

I read the leaks months ago, and honestly wasn't surprised to see it happen-Tennant remains a massively popular Doctor and high profile actor, RTD seems set on expanding the Whoniverse so a movie with him leading it makes sense i.m.o. I'm not personally a huge fan of the 10th Doctor or RTD's style of who so I won't pretend to be hugely pleased with this development but eh whatever, theres lots of Who to go round for everyone.

There is a poll at the top. I'm not sure it was there five minutes ago, but it's there now.
