Finished The Robots 3 with the last story which I'd been saving, and thought maybe I'd listen to the first story from The Robots 4. The series continues to be such an increasingly gripping affair that it pulled me in and had me listening to the whole thing.

Agreed, barnabaslives . I just finished Tartarus. Fun little (sort of) historical. And of course, I love Samuel Barnett as Cicero. Side note: Just had a look at the release page on the BF website. The main title page says "starring Peter Davison & Sarah Sutton". Which makes me wonder if Janet Fielding is just chopped liver or something. Is she a less than equal companion? The billing doesn't make sense to me. I didn't notice a substantive different between the amount of Nyssa and the amount of Tegan in the release.

I didn't notice a substantive different between the amount of Nyssa and the amount of Tegan in the release. *imagines Tegan's reply* I also liked 'Tartarus' a lot and thought it was well-balanced between the old and new Companions, the Doctor and Cicero, everyone got plenty to do.
The listings are a side-effect of being on 'The Crowded TARDIS': for some reason BF only show the name of one Companion actor on the website 'headline' for each release and it goes by priority of first appearance, so Nyssa tops Tegan. On the Five/Tegan/Turlough trilogy, Tegan tops Turlough and Janet Fielding gets the listing. When it was Adric/Nyssa/Tegan, Matthew got the one headline credit going.
And if anyone knows an example which contradicts this rule, well that's what rules are for sometimes!
Looking forward to the next Cicero - and a TW with Norton in the same month!

I could also imagine Tegan's reply. Your explanation makes sense. And I am also looking forward to more Cicero and more Norton. Love Norton.

Been working my way through The Confessions of Dorian Grey for the first time and up to Series 3. Currently listening to The Needle and I’ve gotta say… going by the first two stories, they’ve certainly upped the creep factor!

Hour of the Cybermen (Andrew Smith)
By far the best entry of the Daniel Hopkins Trilogy. And a glorious return for David Banks as the Cybermen.
Excellent! You might almost say.

Jago & Litefoot 4.6: Voyage to the New WorldExcellent and cleverly written spooky historical/pseudo-historical with a strong timey-wimey element too. I really like this one, like every Matthew Sweet story it has wonderfully rich language and is packed with ideas and twists. And that ending is a great 'Corks!' moment for our friends!

Throughout the day; England v New Zealand 2nd Test, day 1. England somehow get to 240-odd for 7 after being a bit pummelled by the Kiwi's fast bowlers.

After rummaging through the early Monthly Range for more neglected stories, I found Memory Lane with the 8th Doctor, Charley and C'rizz. I remember it as one I like, and one that's stuck with me so well that there hasn't been all that much need to revisit it, which is why it's been so rarely listened to. So it popped up just about the time I'd forgotten all the major plot twists, so the suspense is back as to "what in blazes is going?" and its a great story for making one ask that question. Once again I really enjoyed it, and nice to hear something with Charley and C'rizz that I don't know so well also. As close as I'm going to get to a new story with them I imagine.
I wonder if at least some of this part of the 8th Doctor's Monthly Range career isn't somewhat underappreciated? Other Lives is another that I think is very memorable, another go-to that I have wait for a little amnesia to set in before I actually go to it.
