Finally got around to listening to Secret Diary of a Rhodian Prince today… my first BF in a while since I’ve been busy with Star Trek lately.

Finally finished up The Stories So Far and Conflicts of Interest today.
On the former: feeling pretty tepid on both boxsets overall -- they're okay, but just okay. The Angel of History, however, is legitimately one of the all-time best Benny stories. An incredible ride, even if it's another Big Finish story that makes me say, "Yeah, I really liked that episode of Star Trek, too."
And man, man oh man oh man. David Warner is spectacular.
On the latter: holy bejeesus, Alice Krige is in this! That was a fantastic surprise! Oh, man, if Big Finish were ever to get her to play a new companion or a recording character -- or, heck, an AU Doctor, that'd be... well, that'd be only right and proper. Really hoping she does more work with Big Finish in the future -- she's always a delight to see, and has an excellent voice for audio dramas.
Stories themselves were both good. Not great, but pretty good. Ideally, they should represent the baseline level of quality from the XDAs. They feel like really solid 7s or 8s out of 10 from the MR.

I was listening to These Stolen Hours yesterday while driving to and from the store.
Quite a good little story, it wonderfully dovetails with the story arc of Six and Charley and gives us as close as a reaction to 6 learning the truth about Charley as we're going to get. Slipping in right before the Return of the Krotons it works wonderfully as a sort of beginning of the end.
It also helps that India Fisher is an absolutely fantastic reader, she has a truly wonderful voice to listen too, (her reading of the Shadow in the Glass was excellent).
I'll be trying to make it through Return of the Krotons today, and if I'm lucky, the Raincloud Man. The former has always been a bit bleh, but it's notable for the final performance of Philip Madoc (His war chief and Solon are absolutely superb). The latter I've always been ambivalent about, But it's hard to go wrong with A DI Mensies story.

4DA; Blood Of The Timelords - Whilst I did enjoy this release enough, it did feel slightly long at times...
The Ravencliff Witch - A nice 'little' ghost story to break-up a tedious day at work.

I've recently started the Jonathan Barnes era of Sherlock Holmes.
It's really good.
I know that Nick Briggs's voice is so familiar that it often takes one out of the story, but it's a very good one for Sherlock Holmes. Conan Doyle described Holmes as having a high and querulous voice, but most actors don't do that because it sounds odd. Briggs somehow magically manages to do it but paradoxically at a lower register. And Richard Earle sounds almost like Michael Williams, one of the greatest Watsons.

Been going back to the older original Benny audios.
I have to say that "Oh No It Isn't!" was a lot funnier the second time around. Possibly cause I know more about Benny now. Just finished "Beyond the Sun" the other day and enjoyed that one, too.

Awake stupidly early this morning, so managed to listen to the whole of the final The Robots boxset in a single sitting - a rare occurrence these days!
Currently in the mood for some Jago and Litefoot - the Series 14 Audiobook has been languishing in the backlog for almost two years (😳), so a replay / refreshing my memory of Series 13 has to be in order first...
