Dorian Gray progress:
1986: The Heart That Lives Alone A twisted and touching love story. The original 80s songs are also very catchy.
1998: Human Remains An odd story putting Dorian in a more straightforward horror setting, but also doesn't seem to take itself overly seriously.
1999/2000: The Mayfair Monster Colin Baker performs well as the most fundamentally decent person to get dragged into Dorian’s orbit.
2007: The Fallen King of Britain In which the Victorian hedonist is right at home in early 2000s finance. It’s an ambiguous piece which gives it an interesting edge.
2009: Inner Darkness A move back to monster of the week, but with a nice twist on familiar tropes.
2012: The Picture of Loretta Delphine Another monster of the week, but a more sinister one for my reckoning.
2012: Running Away With You A fitting finale to this part of Dorian’s story, giving Lalla Ward some very different material tying the beginning of Dorian’s life to the now.
And on to Series 3 for the first time.

When you have a range as strong as the Torchwood monthly releases, you can pick one at random to listen to and chances are, it won't let you down. James Goss's The Hope is tonight's choice - and no, it doesn't let me down. A strong subject is softened slightly by the dry dialogue between Burn Gorman and Tom Price, and Siân Phillips gives a carefully considered performance as Megwyn. Terrific performances all.

Strangely, while I'll never forget Lalla's contribution to this, I have absolutely no memory of Colin Baker's earlier involvement. Next on my listening list, I think.

Finally getting around to Dream Team after having just no motivation to listen to anything on audio for like two weeks, I’m really enjoying the murder mystery aspects, it feels like Black Orchid if it had any substance to it.

Criss-Cross Terrific science fiction 'war movie' by Matt Fitton with a big-screen feel. Part WWII spies-and-codes historical thriller, part science-fiction with an entity of mind-stretching 'difference'. And what a Companion! Leading WREN Mrs. Constance Clarke meets Sixie and matches him - which takes some doing! (To think we would come to hear her addressed as 'Connie' )

Psychodrome
A good story essentially telling what if Season 19 had taken the time to let the characters stop and digest the events they went through. Like the E-Space 4DAs it’s a fairly revisionist take on the TARDIS team of the day, but told within the exact tone and style of their era so it fits in perfectly.
