Husbands of River Song. Always cracks me up. That is a good one! 😁 What’s your favorite 12 Christmas special? Mine is definitely Last Christmas! 😊 That ending gets me every time!😢 I think my favorites are Husbands of River Song and also Christmas Carol.

I think there could be more things they could do for a Christmas special like have a current companion/companions organize a surprise Christmas party for 13 and invite a bunch of past companions ( both classic and new who). 13 would have very mixed feelings seeing all of them but of course there would be some sort of alien threat that happens that they would all have to work together to defeat!

I think this is too continuity heavy for the TV show. But a great idea for Big Finish maybe. And they have done things like that before for the DWM comics.

Started a rewatch for when I comfort my son so my wife can nap/etc. On Dalek. I wish they had stuck with that depiction: post Time-war Daleks as nigh-unstoppable (as opposed to Ace with a bat as a match).

The Claws of Axos - very good to see Courtney and Delgado again. Special effects a bit cheap but very imaginative - awesome! The Daemons - it's a classic, isn't? Lots of fun. Fantastic blend of supernatural and sci-fi. Damaris is wonderful. Delgado too. Love the shades.

Fantastic blend of supernatural and sci-fi. Damaris is wonderful. Delgado too. Love the shades. I find a lot of producers on the show have had a tendency to ease their way into the particular style of their era. The Ark in Space feels more emblematic of Hinchcliffe than Robot, the tenants of the JNT era don't really solidify until Full Circle, and so on. Barry Letts's tenure on the show seems to knock that trend with Terror of the Autons, but it's not until The Claws of Axos that I found the idea of Doctor Who in colour being this vital, new tool in the production team's arsenal. It's surreal to me that so many people would have initially seen the story in monochrome because Axos itself employs that new ability to its fullest extent. It's a very richly designed story. Interestingly, it's so richly designed that I find stripping away the colour palette actually shifts the tone of the story itself quite dramatically, have a look: {Colour comparison} ( Fun fact: Director Michael Ferguson was with the programme from the days of The Daleks, he was the one holding the plunger on Barbara at the end of "The Dead Planet".)

Time-Flight - To quote a certain motoring programme...ambitious, but rubbish. {Spoiler} Why on earth is the Master dressed up as a genie long before the Doctor even gets there?
Who is he trying to fool? Does he just like playing dress up?
This has to be his worst disguise ever and one of Ainley's worst performances.

Just finished the ‘Time Monster’, maybe not the greatest of 3‘s era but still some very unique aspects to it🤔😀 I really love the dynamic between 3 and the master in this! Especially the subtext of the nightmare that opens part 1 and the fact that their TARDISES were inside of each other! 3 and Jo are wonderful together in this and I think Jo is one of my favorite classic companions! I love the weird time stuff messing with people’s ages although I think they could have gone even further with that!😄🤔 It would have hilarious if we had a child Brigadier or teenaged 3 and Master for a scene!🤣 The costumes in Atlantis were gorgeous! I love the double entendres between the Queen and the Master! But I think the standout scene for me has to be the “Daisiest of Daisies” speech 3 gives Jo in the dungeon, it’s just so beautiful and understated, sort of reminiscent of “Scared is a super power” and a brilliant character moment!😊

3, Jo, the Brig and his team and especially the Master are one of my favorite ever teams.

What were your favorite moments of Time Monster? Ooo now I want a crossover between 3, Jo, the Brig, and the Master and 12, Clara, Kate Stewart, and Missy! 🤔😊

I wonder if it was an actual daisy or just the closest thing to a daisy on Gallifrey?🤔 Does the daisiest of daisies speech sound like it should be a song to you? Because for some reason I keep picturing Pertwee singing it similar to “I am the Doctor”🤔😁🌼 On a side note how come Gallifrey always sounds so much more poetic and beautiful when the Doctor talks about it than when we actually see it on screen?🤔

This is why they should keep it away and locked up in stories as long as they do not have the budget to create the splendor on screen. Just imagine how much CGI and scenery you would need for the fields of red grass and exotic plants and animals and the cities and all the costumes for the people...

Exactly! I generally like Gallifrey in small doses! I think that aspect of the Doctor’s past is best left to our imaginations almost like a fairytale!🤔

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

The time flew by. There’s obvious padding and some dodgy parts but while it might not be brilliant Who, it’s pretty good television, which is often good enough for me.

Because for some reason I keep picturing Pertwee singing it similar to “I am the Doctor”🤔😁🌼 On a side note how come Gallifrey always sounds so much more poetic and beautiful when the Doctor talks about it than when we actually see it on screen?🤔 Picture a world of silver forests under a clockwork bronze sky. Trees that use bark instead of leaves for photosynthesis. The grandfather of groves, huddled around the Great Houses that sigh restfully to the waking sun. Places where the fledershrews roost in the canopies, striped pigbears nuzzle up to knotholes and yaddlefish tattle a duet with the rush of a waterfall. Picture all that... Now picture a daisy. Just there. In the morning underbrush, just beyond the soft glare across the clearing, shielded behind the brass clouds. The daisiest daisy. I think what stories set on Gallifrey can overlook is that it's more than just the Capitol. Outside the Citadel, there are mountain ranges, unexplored valleys, dark oceans, ancient houses... Worlds like Shada which were only accessible through the pages of a book, whole cities like Arcadia, Old Harbour and Prydos, grim secrets like the Death Zone... It's a big planet and, on-screen, we've probably only seen a thumbnail sketch of it. Just a single city and some of its surrounding wasteland.
