Don't know what we'd class as, (BF related), but I keep coming to the conclusion that Constance should be Flip's Great Grandmother and Flip should be the Granddaughter of Ben and Polly. We've never had Family Descendants TARDIS traveling together have we. Twist being the fact their together doesn't disrupt history but instead makes sure it stays on course. Regards mark687 Well, someone would have to be adopted then, on the account that Constance can’t have children. Ah but through TARDIS Travel they may meet Ben's Father and young Ben (though you might have to recast again) Regards mark687

More random opinions and theories! What if someone somehow uploaded all the consciousnesses of all the incarnations of the Doctor into separate realistic android bodies so they could all live again without those personalities having to die when the Doctor regenerates? I could see this being a well intentioned act of a former companion perhaps that could potentially go very wrong, especially if the various Doctors are freaked out by being brought back to life suddenly🤔
I don’t know why perhaps it’s because I love when Doctor Who does fairytales, but I would love it if the tv series did one of those storybook openings like an old Disney movie! Maybe in an episode that takes place in the land of fiction🤔😉
I really want 12 and the Fugitive Doctor to meet! Especially since her actor specifically modeled her Doctor on Capaldi’s! Side note: I wonder if she can rock out too?!🎸🤔😀
I think it’s time the Doctor had a pet again! Perhaps some sort alien creature or something unusual like an octopus!
What if the Doctor’s regeneration went haywire and they got stuck switching back and forth between two different potential forms for their new incarnation? It could be interesting if two different actors were playing different versions of the same incarnation. This could be an interesting arch for the Doctor either learning to cope between constantly changing back and forth or having to decide who they wanted to be more. There would also be a potentially fascinating dynamic with companions with them having to deal with the Doctor switching back and forth between different versions of themselves.

What if there was an afterlife for past incarnations of the Doctor? After they regenerate their previous incarnation go there to coexist with each other. Perhaps a benevolent take on missy’s neversphere existing in a separate Matrix on the TARDIS .The Doctor just doesn’t remember that that’s what happens to their various past incarnations, perhaps they have their memory blocked until they regenerate and then they get uploaded. I would like to think that all the Doctors have their own shared afterlife where they live side by side with each other each in their own versions of the TARDIS and often visit each other! There are even virtual versions of past companions and loved ones to keep them company. The past Doctors often have parties with each other and reminisce about past adventures. They always have a big welcome party whenever a new arrival comes in as well! The Doctors also have the option of harmlessly changing anything they felt insecure about during their life that may have been foisted on them during regenerating. They have their own version of space and history to explore together with excitement and seeming danger but they all make miraculous recoveries. The Doctors still bicker a lot but generally they all have too much fun together!😊

One of the many reasons why Doctor Who is brilliant!😃 Trying to think of stories that do the best job of combining all three🤔 On a related note it would be cool for them on the tv series to revisit the idea of the Doctor being Merlin. Either with 13 meeting the incarnation who is Merlin or for her own incarnation to travel back to Arthurian times perhaps in a companion lite episode. Who’s to say there isn’t more than one incarnation who holds that title? I could see her bonding with a young King Arthur sort of in the style of The Sword in the Stone. That's the theory I held to when I was writing L'Augury de l'Avenir for the first Unbound Imaginings. I had two, possibly three incarnations floating around in my head at the time: - Merlin the Wise. The DWM!Merlin, as seen below, likely played by Max Von Sydow.
- Merlin the Exile. The Muldwych!Merlin, from a book called Birthright and cameos in Transit, Happy Endings and Battlefield's novelisation, probably played by Leo McKern.
- Merlin the Trickster. Another incarnation which I can't quite rightly place, but I know is played by Nicol Williamson from the film Excalibur. The long-awaited, definitively ginger Doctor (though Muldwych may have beaten him to it).
There might be many more besides. J.A. Prentice had a lovely addendum to it that included the Ninth Doctor: I like that idea – and I'm quite attached to the notion of the Ninth Doctor being one of those incarnations. Merlin, in some of the earliest sources, is someone who went mad after the loss of his lord in battle and comes from the fallen kingdom... of the north. It's almost a match after a centuries-long (and dimensions-wide) game of telephone... It’s easy: Merlin’s a Timeless Doctor.

Has anyone reconciled why Doctor Ruth calls herself the Doctor despite being memory-wiped later? We all know that the Doctor chose the name. Maybe they chose it in honour of the legendary/ mythical Division Agent who travelled the universe on shady missions for the CIA and then disappeared mysteriously.

Hmm, that would be interesting if the Doctor is named after themselves🤔

Everything in the universe has been said and done. Well... Everything in his universe, at least. What he gets up to in the interim... well, that's in the story. (What makes it even more interesting is that one Merlin, Merlin the Wise, has many faces. Perhaps, he's the first shapeshifting Doctor?)

More opinions and theories I love everything about the 12th Doctor’s era! I don’t understand the criticism against the writing as I think he has one of the best archs of any Doctor! I think what people misunderstand with his arch is fact that he changes and grows so much and for some reason this gets misinterpreted as him being an inconsistent character. I also don’t understand the criticism that he’s too old/ugly, his rockstar side was too silly, he was too angry, etc. I think his era is by far one of the most misunderstood! I will never not defend his era!
I enjoy both Love and Monsters and Fear Her! Love and Monsters while not perfect ( could have done without the love life with a pavement slab joke) it’s still an interesting examination and satire of Doctor Who fandom and how it can turn toxic if not careful and It also has a compelling framing device of the the vlogs of Elton ( especially the fact that he is an unreliable narrator) It also gives Jackie more to do and explores her loneliness.
Fear her, while not the best, has some really creepy and imaginative ideas with the drawings that come to life and trap people!
13’s era while not my favorite is interesting and I will be intrigued where we go with series 13!
When we get to 14’s era they should do something to really shake things up like have 14 be companions with a timeless Doctor and have a double Doctor series!

I think we got the best, most consistent portrayal of the Doctor by any of the actors cast in it with Capaldi. He knew from the get-go how he wanted to play it and you can see a progression from start to finish as he moves from being grumpy and hard to get along with to someone who learned how to show that he cared. The writing reflected a lot of this despite there being a lot of stuff that was played more for laughs than for drama (Moffat is one of my favourite writers for the screen but I find his work as a showrunner to be quite frustrating at times despite delivering some of the coolest and most intuitive and knowledgeable scripts and concepts in the history of the programme.

Inconsistent writing, awful characterisation of both the Doc & Clara (of all people why would she care that the Doc has changed?) & boring story arcs (all that hybrid nonsense). The only good thing about this era was Missy. But I have no desire to ever watch his era again. 13 was a breath of fresh air for me & made me love Doctor Who again.

I find his Doctor the most relatable, as someone who is also very socially awkward and have trouble reading people sometimes. His Doctor also helped me through some some very hard and stressful times in my life. I will never not love his era! I enjoy 13 too though she’s not my favorite but she growing into her part. I can definitely see why she’s your Doctor, there is definitely something to her. That’s the great thing about Doctor Who though there is a Doctor for everyone!

I found the relationship with Clara frustrating but I liked her more with Capaldi than with Smith. Interestingly, I began to love it again with Capaldi’s run: he felt a lot more traditional to me in a lot of ways after the constant bombast of Tennant and Smith. I’m really enjoying Whittaker’s run, though: with her, the Doctor feels more like a stranger travelling around doing stuff rather than a “lonely god,” which is frankly dull.

I think it would be interesting if the next Doctor’s TARDIS interior was a green house filled with exotic and alien plants!
I would love if there was an episode either in the tv series or Big Finish where the Doctor and companions have a sleepover in the TARDIS pulling pranks, telling scary stories, doing karaoke, building elaborate pillow forts😁 I wouldn’t care if there wasn’t any big threat either just the Doctor and companion(s) having a fun night in the TARDIS!
They should bring the Meddling Monk to the tv series and he should be played by Rufus Hound as in the audios! What if the Meddling Monk was a semi antagonistic companion to either 13 or 14 with them having to constantly keep an eye on the monk that they didn’t start scheming to change history!
We need a Welsh or Irish Doctor soon! Speaking of which how has Michael Sheen never played the Doctor?! Someone needs to make that happen!
I think it would be really interesting and relevant if they adapted Live 34 to the tv series! It would need to be handled correctly but it’s such a relevant story I think with a few adjustments here and there it could be a really gripping tv episode!
What if series 13 was split equally between episodes with 13 and the Fugitive Doctor? Alternating every episode of the series between the two until the finale when they would team up. Along the way each would encounter various timeless Doctors.
