I'm about as certain as I could be that it's not part of the Christmas special, BF, BBC American and BBC Worldwide just couldn't be involved in that in any significant way.

Just checked the transcript for Journey's End and there is nothing that says Jack and Jackie never met before then. So who knows? Maybe this IS a Ninth Doc Companion Chronicle. It can't really be Torchwood, can it? Unless it's before he met Rose.
Or Camille really is just playing someone else.

I'm inclined to believe that RT have accidentally let something slip, given how much coverage they had for the 10DAs, you'd think that they've have their facts right. Anyway, back on topic! I'm going to be really happy if these are some Nine-era CCs, because that's the closest we can get to that era without having CE involved. I just want more stories for Nine! Yes, it is possible there might be an announcement embargoed about more Tennant/Tate audios and they've accidentally slipped up.

WILD THEORY: It's the unannounced Novel Adaption.

My first thought is that they're a bit behind, and mis-reporting this week's release of 10DA Vol 1. Or maybe your eagle eye just caught something that wasn't supposed to be announced yet? Hard to say!

Or it's all authorised clever marketing.
And it's working, got us talking and articles on the RT website.

WILD THEORY: It's the unannounced Novel Adaption. How would that work without Eccleston as the Doctor?, The whole point of the novel adaptations is to adapt/streamlime them into fullcast audioplays, with just Barrowman and Coduri it would end up as a lost stories/companion chronicles style hybrid audiobook... (I may be wrong but I thought they were adapting the virgin lines only because the rights had returned to the authors, the New Series novels are still under BBC copyright I think) I'm in the Cold Fusion camp for the last Novel adaptation. Did Jackie and Jack meet prior to Series 4 in the books or comics?

NEW WILD THEORY: It's for The Churchill Years Volume 2. Did Jackie ever travel in the Tardis prior to Series 4? (It has been a very long time since I've rewatched Series 1-2...)

IF it's ninth Doctor related, it'll be Short Trips.

At the end of Series 2, at the very least. She's also in a bunch of the books that Jack's in, for what it's worth. Can't remember if they actually meet, but hey...

Stated when? Before or after they announced Hurt and Tennant were back?

Stated when? Before or after they announced Hurt and Tennant were back? Tony Jones asked them, in response to the Paul Spragg Memorial Competition (I think) Cheers Tony Original Post: Perhaps you should just go the whole hog and do all the doctors (they have rights to) . If nothing else it should give them an overall impression of your writing style and characterisations and (hopefully) that may open up future doors for you. Good luck ... and to everyone else who's entering Cheers Tony Short Trips (currently) only go as far as the 8th Doctor (I have asked!)

I wonder if BF will actually respect the canon of the New Series comics and books, with 9 that isn't so much of problem considering his small amount of storylines, but Tennant on the other hand...

Tony Jones asked them, in response to the Paul Spragg Memorial Competition (I think) Cheers Tony Maybe that was just for the competition? BF would naturally want to give it's first hypothetical 9th Dr stories to an established writer, short trips are a cheap way to bring new listeners to the fold without the lure of the actual Doctor...
