Did anyone watch? I've got a migraine and his teeth would have been too much for my eyes. it was all about a mystical horror thriller book he's written with his sister for young adults called the Conjuror. Who Torchwood and BF were not mentioned.

So far the only lines Nine has been in at BF are The Churchill Years and Destiny of the Doctor. Since their coy tweet seems to indicate that it may not be a Torchwood thing (I wonder if they're staying away from explicit Doctor Who ties in that range?) it's either Churchill Years Volume 2 (or on, they record some things years out after all) or something completely new, as far as I can see.
A sort of Lost Stories / Partially Cast & Narrated Novel Adaption is also an option, though I don't think they'd go that route, honestly.
There's also, of course, no guarantee that it's Ninth Doctor related. Could Tenth Doctor, somehow.

Already stated previously by BF that Short Trips are first 8 Doctors only. Cheers Tony Hmm...this gets more and more interesting... I wonder if BF will actually respect the canon of the New Series comics and books, with 9 that isn't so much of problem considering his small amount of storylines, but Tennant on the other hand... I don't know why BF would acknowledge the continuity of the comics or the novels. Too many balls in the air to tell a good story. At least that is the way I look at it. TV stories & audios. Everything else is a separate and distinct continuity. That said, I'm trying to image a 10th Doctor adventure with Donna, Jackie & Jack. It would be the biggest grouping of horny individuals ever in the TARDIS.

Well Barrowman is co-writing the New Torchwood comics and they've been hinted to be set post Series 4 (an era BF has expressed interest in exploring in more detail), the Titan Comics are very popular at the moment (8's run mentioning his BF companions), and considering 9's limited amount of storylines rewriting or contradicting some of them just because they can seems kinda pointless, cross promotion could bring in more listeners...

I'd love a set of Ninth Doctor companion chronicles. Since Eccleston reprising the role is very unlikely, this would be the next best thing. It's a way to give us more Ninth Doctor content, it would bring John Barrowman back to Doctor Who and it would be interesting to hear a story from Jackie Tyler's point of view.
Or maybe Camille Coduri is playing a new character. Who knows?

I get that part of it. I'm just looking at it from a backstage perspective. If I'm producing/writing 10th Doctor adventures, or any Doctor really, I'd much rather acknowledge & build off of two established continuities and not four. And while BF has made nods towards non TV & audio Who, they have been pretty clear that the TV show proper & the audios are the sandbox they primarily play in.

And if Barrowman is using a #doctorwho, then I really don't see Camille coming back to play another character. Unless of course she is and I'm wrong.

I don't know how much voice work Coduri does but if she is a seasoned radio performer she could easily be playing another character in another Doctor's range but with that co-star and within that context, I'd be really surprised if she was playing a character not named Jackie.

Piper may be tied up with Penny Dreadful or Stage Work she may have enjoyed her time on the show, or she may simply want to pursue other projects (she's only in her early 30's but Rose is already pretty much all she's associated with for many) , Big Finish is heavily aimed at the more Hardcore fans, and in my own personal experience both online and off, Rose is a companion that seems to appeal more to more casual viewers than hardcore fans (at least in series 2)

I'm sure they would get Billie Piper onboard as Rose Tyler if the opportunity arose.

That's true (though in fairness the first time they brought back Adric was only to {Spoiler} Kill him again , though I'm very unlikely to buy any Tennant/Piper audios myself anyway.

I don't think there is any argument that Big Finish would gladly incorporate Rose Tyler into the 10th Doctor mix, or that a lot of fans would love to see that but as yourself said, the opportunity needs to arise. If indeed 10 & Donna are currently planned as a trilogy, then we are talking about the key word in all of this, schedule.

What Billie like at a northern accent? Or Barrowman for that matter.

Tennant and Piper have appeared together at fan conventions several times in recent years and they seem to get on very well. If one of the motivations behind the Ten/Donna audios was for Tennant and Tate to work together again then I wouldn't be surprised if that was enough to lure Piper to Big Finish for some stories with Tennant. Probably a matter of time and scheduling as others have said.
