Or it's all authorised clever marketing. And it's working, got us talking and articles on the RT website. Of course it's all marketing. What else is social media for? Which doesn't mean I don't enjoy the speculation just as much as a great many other people.

I'm thinking it's more likely to be some sort of 10 th anniversary release for Torchwood, maybe some sort of serialisation like they did for Dark Shadows with Bloodlust or Bloodline. The broadcast date for the first episode was 22 October, 2006, so that lends some credibility to the theory. Also, in general, (my two cents worth) I think there's far more potential for something Torchwood related going on here

As I've just said in the 'Ninth Doctor Companion Chronicle?' thread, I'm thinking this is likely to be some sort of special 10th anniversary release for Torchwood, along the lines of a serialisation like they did for Dark Shadows with Bloodlust and Bloodline. Since the broadcast date for the first episode was 22 October, 2006, recording now for that sort of release date wouldn't be impossible...

@scotthandcock tweeted: So if he works weekend, we may have an announcement on Monday Cheers Tony Given that Barrowman said he would be in Cardiff for a week and a half, I suspect no weekend working. But nice to be confirmed that the whole stint is for BF and nothing to do with the BBC as such. But I am left very curious, 7 days of recording, I mean, ignore that it's unusual for such a long stint, and consider even for a boxset recorded in one go, that's still huge... BF have just tweeted that recording is Continuing over the weekend. They didn't specify with who though.

Latest tweets from Big Finish are that they are recording through the weekend and that Blair Mowat, composer of the BF Torchwood theme has just popped in to record a cameo appearance with John Barrowman.
With their previous comment that their were two days of recording left I'm hopeful for a proper announcement on Monday.
Sorry I can't post a link, I'm on my phone.

I was just thinking maybe it will be announced on Monday. It is weird that we are getting a release on a Tuesday next week instead of Monday. Hmm
But Scott is working on the weekend after all. Bless him!

Bless him! Perhaps Monday is to give the warehouse chance to catch up dispatching sale orders. I know they normally don't announce things until they are recorded and I really hope they announce it next week, otherwise all the hype could fall flat. Get us while we are desperate for news Cheers Tony

Definitely got to be 9th Doctor Companion Chronicles. I'll be shocked if they've got Christopher Eccleston to agree to some full cast audios. Seems far more likely to be Torchwood to me, lots of people associated with that show, very few associated to Who, occam's razor would suggest the Who actors are playing roles other than the ones they are known for in Who rather than Torchwood actors playing roles in Who. Big Finish have already denied it's Torchwood on Facebook: It has to be big otherwise they wouldn't be teasing it as a secret project. If it's not Torchwood, then it's Doctor Who (unless for some reason they randomly decide to start doing Sarah Jane Adventures Companion Chronicles guest-starring Captain Jack and Jackie Tyler, which would be a bit silly).

It could be Torchwood and something else for all we know . Cheers Tony

It could still be possibly be Torchwood as they didnt actually flat out deny it.
They just say Who said she was. That could be a double bluff or something

Barrowman is now on his way to make something with Sarah Douglas. Has she done Big Finish or could he now be doing something different while Scott Handcock is recording with other people?

I was looking back through Scott Handcock's Twitter and he said last Sunday that he was working on a couple of projects over the next week. So could this be more than just one release/boxset?

I was looking back through Scott Handcock's Twitter and he said last Sunday that he was working on a couple of projects over the next week. So could this be more than just one release/boxset? Makes sense that Camille would be in something different to the Torchwood regulars. So maybe a Torchwood tenth anniversary boxset and a ninth doctor companion chronicles. That would fill up seven days studio time nicely.
