Tales From The Hood. A decent if unremarkable anthology horror, the focus on African American characters & issues makes it stand out from similar movies.

Police Academy 4: Citizens On Patrol - Police Academy 5: Assignment Miami Beach - 'Light', as sequels go &, whilst it's not the worst thing I've watched recently, it's definitely far from the best... (There were some good moments though) I think Police Academy films are the only films of his that need Steve Guttenberg (I've no idea what he adds to them) but the ones without him just aren't as good. Regards mark687 I don't know if I've seen number 7 yet (it's been many years since I last saw the series on TV), but yeah, whilst 5 did have his 'expy', it did feel like it was missing a certain... Something. At the moment I'm about 25minutes into number 6, 'City Under Siege' (which I think I'm currently watching for the first time), and am currently enjoying it enough so far.

Just finished 'Police Academy 6: City Under Siege' (spoiler alert: Despite what I said earlier, I had seen it before) - Um, well, I'm not going to say that it's the best in the series, but I certainly enjoyed it more than number 5!

Death Becomes Her
Decided to rewatch this movie, I had seen it only one other time back when I was in high school but it stuck with me a lot. It’s kind a weird one for me because I love it and the whole vibe of it but it also makes me feel nauseous and dizzy in places. Sometimes I have to watch it through my fingers especially during the scenes with Madeleine’s neck😱 I love the bizarre black comedy and how camp and over the top everyone acts! The themes of eternal youth, friendship, rivalry, aging are very uniquely explored.
Side note: Does anyone else have movies that they love and are fascinated by but are equally disturbed/nauseated by?
Side note: Can we please get a Doctor Who story inspired by this movie?! Think of the possibilities!

Spider-Man 3 (2007) One of the worst examples of executive meddling with there being far too many villains and an extremely cluttered storyline. Thomas Haden Church as the tragic Sandman is a highlight but when it comes to Venom it’s obvious Raimi really didn’t want to use him. And for all the film’s talk of the symbiote ‘amplifying aggression’ it just seems to make Peter Parker act like a complete and utter prat for the most part. More like if the symbiote had attached itself to Slapstick then Spider-Man. And we never discover Sandmans daughters fate, he did what he did for his daughter who was sick did she live or die. Parts of this movie are good while other parts like Peter's dad dancing are cringeworthy filler, either do Sandman or do Venom because tagged together neither story arc is fleshed out properly. First 2 Spider-Man films the best Hollands are kid friendly & Garfields whichi liked the first but hated the second.

Society - Teenage dweeb from Beverly Hills discovers that his family may be part of some weird body horror/sex pest cult. It's John Hughes meets David Cronenberg.
I don't think I like it. It's pretty nasty and weird.
I'd complain about plot holes but I'm much too flummoxed to be thinking on that level right now.

A heartless affair with which they just shoved in everything and anything related to storylines that fans would remember just so they could keep the rights. A lot of good that did them of course. I also have no idea what the deal is with Electro as a villain.

Ah well, should be interesting to see how Marvel pull that off then.

The next MCU movie on the schedule after Spidey 3 is “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” so fair bet the Jamie Foxx Electro return is tied to that...

A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)
Some frightening ideas in this and Wes Craven’s direction is always excellent but, dare I say it, I don’t think this has aged well.
Thankfully this was way before Freddy Krueger became the wisecracking clown that the sequels turned him into. Which is always a plus.
I would loved to have seen how the studios original choice of David Warner had portrayed the character though.

Police Academy 7: Mission To Moscow - Not the best, but enjoyable enough. Enjoyable enough... (I can kinda see why it flopped though).
Cinema Paradiso - A little long in places (168minute director's cut, go figure), but I've forgotten how much I absolutely adored this film the first time I saw it in college ten-or-so years ago...
I had considered watching a third film after my bath this evening, but, given Cinema Paradiso's two-and-three-quarter hour runtime, I did feel a little drained.
