A Christmas Story - Stands toe-to-to with Christmas Vacation as my favorite "traditional" Yuletide flick. It was an annual tradition growing up, and I hope that I can one day inflict it upon my own progeny. I think nearly every joke in the movie has been quoted into the ground by my family over the last 30+ years. Even now, I find that familiarity does not breed any contempt whatsoever. Never mind Christmas, I think very few other films capture the childhood experience so accurately. I can see a lot of my own memories reflected on screen.

The Lovely Bones - I started reading the book this morning & thought that I might give the 2009 film adaption a shot (I saw the play with my mother at one of the local theatres about a year ago). I loved it, I loved it...
The Christmas Scavenger Hunt - 'Had this one playing in the background when I got home from work. Whilst it did pass the time adequately enough, not much exactly happened (shocker, I know).
Christmas Waltz - A fun watch starring Lacey Chabert (who, I never thought I'd say, is actually warming on me rather since I watched 'Mean Girls' earlier in the year...).

Skyfire, a Chinese disaster movie directed by Simon West about a luxury resort built at the base of a volcano & the inevitable happens. Very little character development & the FX aren't the best but there are worse ways to spend 90 minutes.

Return To Christmas Creek - Fine, that was fine... Nativity! - I think this might be my third or fourth time having seen the original now so, whilst I will say that I'm getting a little bored of it, I suppose that it was nice to have something I could watch over lunch with my mother... Community Theater Christmas - What does it say about me that this mockumentary is currently my favourite Christmas film of the ones I've seen so far this month...? I've also been watching quite a few short-films (be it live-action or stop-animated Lego), but I have to say that Humbug is definitely one of the best (and, at 7minutes, certainly doesn't out stay its welcome)!

Arthur Christmas First time watching this! It’s a lovely Aardman film! I think the only reason it took me so long is that I was concerned that it was computer animation rather than stop motion but I need not have worried because the animation is gorgeous! I love the Santa family in this! Their dynamic feels so thought out and authentic! I genuinely think that this is one of James Macavoy’s best performances! He was so incredibly believable as this awkward slightly geeky young man in his late teens/early twenties! Love the supporting cast as well especially Bill Nighy as GrandSanta! Glad I watched this!😊

Christmas Ever After - 'Could have done with a slight trim, but there are worse ways to spend a morning before work, I guess? Yes, yes I did indeed let out a little cheer over the fact there is now a Christmas film with a disabled lead...

Bad Samaritan.
Evil *****er Cale (David Tennant) proves to be a deadly match for young Sean (Robert Sheehan) in a genuinely taught and creepy 106 minutes. Great fun, and although Tennant can take much of the credit for that, Sheehan is pitch perfect as his adversary. Gets a bit absurd toward the end, but I really enjoyed this.

Hello again.
My favourite trailer this year has to be the Wonder Woman 1984 trailer with the New Order Blue Monday remix by Sebastian Böhm. Second favourite, the really silly Tom and Jerry trailer.

A Christmas Village - Well, the b*tchiness of the lead could have been toned down slightly during the first half (and she wondered why she was being sued?), but that was adequate enough... I guess?
Nativity! 2: Danger In The Manger - I struggled, I really did (the first time I saw it, I think I gave up partway through). Had it been about twenty minutes shorter and a little less 'OTT', I might have enjoyed it more but, well...

Carlitos Way a vastly underrated movie, Pacino delivers a outstanding performance once again.

Krampus
I had heard a lot about this movie and I am glad I finally saw it! It wasn’t perfect but I enjoyed it! The family was a mixed bag. I liked the main boy, Max and the grandmother the best. The parents where good too and the relatives reminded me a bit of the relatives from A Christmas Vacation. They were okay but they were a bit much at times. I loved all the practical effects with the Krampus and all the evil toys and elves but I didn’t find any of it remotely scary. I was giggling more than anything! It’s a bit like a modern gremlins! I also love the animated segment that felt so beautiful and melancholy, like the world’s saddest Christmas special! I also loved how frosty and cold it felt! Bit of a mixed bag but I am glad I saw it!
Side note: Does anyone else not find this movie remotely scary? I honestly think episodes of Doctor Who and Stranger Things are much scarier than his movie! I liked it a lot though!

Decent but could been so much better, i recommend checking out a film called A Christmas Horror Story it usually on Horror Channel & features three linked stories definitely worth a watch.

Yesterday: Check Inn To Christmas - That was fine, I guess? I liked how the story was wrapped up, but it did drag on in places slightly... Christmas Bounty - A WWE Christmas film? 'Just what the world needed... "I've seen better I've seen worse...", let's put it that way though, at 73minutes, so I can't exactly complain too much. Today I have nothing else to do but re-watch the three 'A Christmas Prince' films... (You know, research for my own ) I saw them last year and enjoyed the first one more than I thought I would... At the moment I'm a little over an hour into the first one & will be watching it and the second before my daily walk into town...

Knock Off brought the awesome 88 Films limited edition release, love my JCVD movies he & Sly always been my two favourite action stars.
I can even forgive the annoying Rob Schneider as the action is mostly well done barring a few dodgy cgi shots.

Enjoyed the Joe Bob Saves Christmas double-feature with Mr Polly tonight. The two films were:
Dial Code Santa Claus - Basically a violent French predecessor to Home Alone. Young rich kid is left alone with Grandpa on Christmas Eve. Homicidal hobo Santa breaks in, kid battles him with deathraps. Murder and mayhem ensues. Check this one out, it's a hoot.
Christmas Evil - Disturbed manchild takes upon himself the role of Santa Claus, spreading Christmas cheer, but also punishing the naughty. Murder and mayhem ensues. Not as much fun, but still worth a look if you are a fan of weirdo movies.

Xmas viewing
Die Hard
(Oh Yes It Is!)
Hurt Locker
(I can't have seen this before or I would've dubbed it "Real World Marvel" its very interesting how close their character traits are, and theme wise its less ambiguous then Green Zone or American Sniper both of which I have seen)
Regards

After watching the 'A Christmas Prince' trilogy yesterday (I think I liked the third a little more than I did last year) I watched "Santa's Boot Camp", and hoooooooo boy was it terrible! If it weren't for the fact that I had work today, I would almost certainly have had a drink or two afterwards
After work this evening I watched 'Silent Night, Deadly Night', which I enjoyed as ever.
