No Kidding, light weight mildly entertaining 60s comedy directed by Gerald Thomas about a married couple who turn their large home into a retreat for kids neglected by their wealthy parents. Doctor Who actors - Earl Cameron (The Tenth Planet).

Putting your girlfriend in the front seat just becuase she;s there and has nothing else to do will inevitably lead to your spaceship crashing. The second the ship separated she fired up the impulse engines, but there wasn't enough time to get away before the core breach. Well, that's what they said at the court-martial. Just consider, Troi spends the next movie drinking heavily, and when she finally gets to drive again in "Nemesis", Picard orders her to deliberately collide with something! Deanna, don't drink'n'drive.

At last I have seen Joker.
Everything people say about Joaquin Pheonix's brilliant performance is true, in fact all of the acting is pretty great. I did have issues with ...
{Spoiler} ... a killer dressed as a clown, who had shot three men and been fired from his job as a children's entertainer for having a gun, being able to get on to a live television broadcast - with the gun - hosted by the bloke who had publicly ridiculed him days earlier ... with no security checks at all!
However, I am reliably informed this was based on true events, so what do I know?
Other than that though, a really good, thought-provoking film.

Not he but i watched it the other day and i am team Freddy all the way Certainly has more personality than Jason who is an animal at best. But then again they do acknowledge it with that whole stupid dog comment.

Which side are you on Illusive? Hard to say really Freddy has a personality and it’s Robert Enguland who is awesome But I’m going with Jason at just how tough and resilient he was in the film Guy was an unstoppable tank

Yesterday....
Gunpowder Milkshake - Disappointing. It's shot and choreographed really, really well -- it's beautiful to look at, and the action sequences legit kick ass -- but everything between the setpieces is just so boring and flat that it ends up making the movie a real slog to get through. And I don't know whose moron idea it was to take everything so dang seriously in it; the few comedic moments in it are genuinely funny, and if they'd followed that tone I'm willing to bet the movie would've been a ton of fun. But they didn't, and it's not. Unfortunately. I wish this one had been better. Do not recommend.
Fear Street: 1666 - Honestly I'm having a little trouble processing this one, and in retrospect, the series as a whole. I quite enjoyed all the stuff set in 1666 (very "The Witch"), but then it completely changes direction and it becomes a neon glow in the dark riff on Home Alone? But...it's not completely terrible? That weird little hiccup makes part 3 here, for me, avoid the big problem of the first two movies: that feeling after about an hour or so of 'how the hell is this not over yet?' Which is also nice, but it's such a weird way to approach the overall narrative. And the series as a whole....the way they structured it all is just so strange and counterintuitive to good storytelling that I can't wrap my head around whether my reaction is a simple 'well, that happened' or a more extreme 'what the hell were they thinking?'

Yesterday:
Ghost in the Shell (1995) - Had actually never seen this before....and a short while into the movie, was kicking myself for not having seen it when I was young. This movie would have been FORMATIVE for me as a kid/teenager. I feel like it spends maybe too much time meandering--halfway through the film I had no idea what story it was trying to tell, and I found the end very anticlimactic--but the worldbuilding is terrific and the animation is just phenomenal. Very happy that I finally decided to get around to seeing this.
The Godfather Part II - Annual rewatch. A masterpiece, as always.
A Quiet Place Part II - Decent. Not sure it was really necessary to do a second one, but I appreciate that it felt like a very natural continuation of the story, picking up right where the same characters left off at the end of the first movie and then following them for the next couple of days. Nothing felt forced or out of place (though I'll admit I was very struck this time around at how much it owes to The Last of Us), just...life in this world carries on. Enjoyed it well enough, regardless of whether or not it needed to be made.

Guns Akimbo, another awful film. Why do so many films that are so desperate to be cult look so crap & outdated. This feels like it was made by a guy in his 50s trying to be cool. Awful soundtrack.
