Watched "Parallel" on Prime. One of those low-budget/high-concept SF movies like "The Man a from Earth. Overall a pretty interesting film and more interesting than a lot of similar fare. I did not expect that turn near the end, but I'll put that in spoiler tags and for now just say this ain't a movie for the squeamish. Definitely worth a go if your fond of parallel universe tropes. {Spoiler} In the Last 20 minutes or so it turns I to a faux-slasher movie, with one especially gruesome death that's gonna haunt my nightmares for a while.

Boss Level......Utter twaddle, nonsensical incoherent tripe, it looks well Mel Gibson's career has been reduced to co-starring in crappy action movies.
When i seen Michelle Yeoh i thought oh goodie but she's in it for about 2 minutes, this amazing actress deserves much better roles instead of cameos.

Voyagers [2021]
(Writer/ Director Neil Burger does 2001 and Passengers for a smart Tween audience, worth a look)

Ice Station Zebra Currently on an ancient channel known as BBC2 for younger members of this forum. I've never seen this film, but I'm intrigued about what the secret mission to The North Pole is and who onboard the sub may be a baddie.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage
A fun, but violent romp. Woody Harrelson really knows how to play a serial killer, doesn't he? I actually liked this one more than the first. And that after credits scene!

10/01: Crimson Peak - Complete waste of time. 10/02: The Shining - I know King has moaned about it for many years, but I think it's a great movie, I love revisiting it every October. 10/04: Doctor Sleep - Put off watching this for a long time because I thought it was crazy to make a sequel to The Shining (even though King himself has done so). Along the way I was noticing a few structural issues--the big one being I think they should've held off introducing the magic cultist villains till after the 8 years later time skip--but I rather enjoyed it for most of the movie. Until about the last 5-10 minutes, when it became so unforgivably stupid that it went and soured the entire experience. I will not be revisiting this one. 10/05: Psycho10/06: The Addams Family (1991) 10/09: Ghostbusters10/10: Zombieland(All rewatches)

Boiling Point. The new Stephen Graham movie & as expected a great performance from him as a chef during a shift at his restaurant. All filmed in a single continuous take with no cuts. Very good film.

Drunk Bus
(Comedy Drama apparently based on real events. Thinking his Girlfriend wants to break up, a College Campus Bus Diver copes by letting his Passengers go exactly where they want to go and do exactly want to do, including breaking and enter for Midnight Tacos, be not exactly appropriate dates for one anothers campus parties and Arson on the car of a faculty member they've all got a problem with.)

Watching the Halloween movies as i await the release of Halloween Kills.
Halloween was the first horror movie i seen aged 7 back when it was shown in the UK on Tv in 1982, i remember being scared but engrossed in this character there's just something scary about Michael Myers that makes me uneasy.

The Phantom of the Open. A similar feel good uplifting sport underdog movie to Eddie the Eagle about a man with no golf experience decided to enter the British Open.

No Time to Die…..was fricking brilliant. Any 007 movie that takes a lot of its cues, musical and otherwise, from On Her Majesty’s Secret Service is okay by me. Craig looked fully engaged again and that goes a long way. I wasn’t a fan of SPECTRE, in fact I frelling hated it but this film kind of makes it work better in retrospect. I had the ending spoiled a couple of weeks ago but knowing what was coming actually worked for me. At a solid 2 1/2 plus hours I was expecting the middle section to drag a little and much to my surprise it didn’t. Or not as much as I thought it would. The film looks spectacular. Supporting cast was top notch if underused and Han Zimmer composed a very classic 007 score. Big thumbs up.
