Yeah I saw it last night and I was bored stiff. There are a few really excellent moments sprinkled throughout, and maybe if the movie had been 75-90 minutes it would've been a blast, but at 2h20 I spent far too much time waiting for something--anything--interesting to happen. Someone in my showing actually got up and walked out halfway through, and she'd come in with a group of four or five people. Saw her in the lobby on my way out waiting for her friends. I'm reading both of your thoughts about this film and I'm trying to decide if we were talking about the same movie. I adored it. I loved it all, and the tedium at the beginning was almost certainly intentional to set up the rest of the movie. I found it creative and unique, emotional, and one of the best movies I've seen in ages. Well, we clearly did all watch the same film… We just have differing opinions as is part and parcel of life. I thought it was fun, but I didn’t think it was the classic that people are referring it to. Nobody mentioned the tedium at the beginning; funnily enough I thought that was well executed and a good balance of frantic and development. For me it’s everything in the tax office that drags on once the multiverse is introduced. It got so chaotic that it stopped being silly and funny and moved towards slow and I think ultimately that ending was a hard sell when the message it was portraying vanished for great big periods of time. It might’ve been different if Tupaki consistently appeared to be pursuing. I liked part two and three, but they zipped by in comparison to the first.

"Alone In The Dark" another 1982 slasher movie : en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alone_in_the_Dark_(1982_film)starring a few famous actors of their time like Jack Palance, Martin Landau and Donald Pleasance to name a few. Very low budget and bad- but it passed 90 minutes..

Last Action Hero - Loved it growing up, but haven't seen it in quite a few years now. Nice to have seen it again Mothra Vs Godzilla - Can't say that I've seen a Godzilla film before today (at least with the exception of clips here & there), but, as a whole? This was definitely a great way to have spent 90minutes on a Sunday night... Radio Cab Murder - Could maybe have been a few minutes shorter to properly 'deal with' the crime-gang but, as a whole, a pleasent-enough way to have spent 70minutes on a lunchtime...

Another Found Footage "The Rohl Farms Haunting" www.imdb.com/title/tt2944424/Basically a retelling of "The Strangers" which was much more effective IMHO.. Lead character came off as real annoying..

I just tortured myself with quite possibly The worst slasher movie of all time: "Fatal Exam" www.imdb.com/title/tt0156529/Filmed in 1985.. released in 1990. So low budget 1/2 the actors voices are overdubbed, you can see crew members just out of frame. Badly scripted, edited, directed, filmed, paced etc. A couple of the main cast are also part of the crew... so that gives you an idea of how bad the quality of acting is.. Was about 25 minutes too long. 1 person even appears to have had a haircut MID SCENE!. Quality continuity control!

Wrong Turn (2021).
People are attacked in the woods - that's the only similarity between this and the original series of films. Quite an enjoyable film in its own right, but I'm not sure why they called it Wrong Turn.

Same reason as that dreadful Black Christmas film I’d imagine. It’s easier to market something recognisable.

More cheesy early 80's slashers: www.imdb.com/title/tt0085253/"Blood Rage", also known as "Slasher" filmed in '83 but released in '87.. Another of the cliched tropes of "1 good twin 1 evil twin".. So schlocky.. Am I offended because my "kind" weren't represented. They hired a singlely to portray twins....
If James Cameron can hire 2 sets of twins for "Terminator 2"...!

Vendetta [2022]
(Thriller Crime Boss [Bruce Willis] begins to loose his grip on his small town base of operations after his son [Theo Rossi] kills the daughter of the town's Hero Veteran [Clive Standen])
Random FF watch
The very 1st one
(Where its actually trying to be a film, though interestingly Leti has no character whatsoever (just MR's sheer force of will) while Mia by contrast has all her character work done in this film) Regards
