Well, it looks like 'Clerks 3' is getting a theatrical release next week (hooray!)
Juuuuuuust nowhere near me or anywhere that I can get to easily, at least without spending too much on money on the train (boo!)
Oh. Joy. Well, hopefully there's a digital/DVD release soon -!

The Martian. Scott's best work in years.

Wife and I just finished watching the new Thor movie. Not as bad as we were expecting IMHO. It was told from Korg's point of view.. Fun fact, if anyone here has seen the "side scene/mini documentary" of Thor when he was on Earth (made around the time of the last movie), he had an Aussie flatmate named "Darryl". He is in this movie, we spotted him straightaway. In real life the actor who play "Darryl" is 1 of the small group of people that created the greatest cartoon ever "Bluey". The best cartoon that parents watch with their children. There was definitely a couple jokes too many, they won't go back to the seriousness of the 1st one.
EDIT: Loving how they put "Dio" on the soundtrack.. Was lucky enough to see him live in concert, amazing.

The Man with Two Brains Very weird, nor quite what I was expecting, but classic Steve Martin.
Stir Crazy Again not quite what I was expecting, and a little jaunty in places. But damn, if Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder don't make a terrific pair. The scene where they first get taken to jail absolutely killed me! XD
Steve Martin and Martin Short: An Evening You Will Forget A very fun show filled with classic Hollywood style humor, skits, music, and some funny insights into their personal lives. I could have watched it for another two hours.

Love and Thunder.
I actually rather enjoyed this movie, sure it could have used a little bit more tightening up in places, but the humor was pretty good and Natalie Portman made an excellent Thor.
I'm disappointed that Taika Watiti won't be asked back for the next Thor Movie, I was starting to think Thor had finally found his niche.

A Clockwork Orange (1971)
A masterpiece. Although every time I read a Death’s-Head comic from now on I’m going to immediately imagine him being voiced by Mr Deltoid.

I'd heard whispers online that he wasn't asked back and didn't consider to bother tracing them back to their source. I've enjoyed Taika's take on Thor, The comics never interested me as the character came off very old fashioned, then Ragnarok and L&T were a breath of fresh air, blowing out the dust.

Bodies Bodies Bodies - Well, that was certainly... 96minutes of my life. Jaws (in 3D, for... Reasons?) - Whilst I did enjoy the opportunity to see this on the big-screen, would it be sacrilege to say that this could have been a few minutes shorter...? I checked online again this morning to see if 'Clerks 3' is going to be showing in my local area, and may or may not have cheered in joy to see that, yes, indeed, it is... 'Have booked for next Thursday (the day when my parents go away for their anniversary holiday, when I'd planned on watching the View Asknewniverse in full anyway), and definitely cannot wait!

Predator 2, Predators and The Predator After watching Prey, I figured I'd round out my Predator viewing. It was fun watching them all back to back as very different takes what a Predator sequel would be.
Predator 2 Like the first film, this one does the same thing of dropping the Predator into a cheesy 80s action film, only it's urban crime instead of jungle warfare.
It was pretty good, what with the Predator skulking around an urban environment, taking out various themed gangs, but it didn't really kick off until the final act showdown with Danny Glother.
I wasn't big on the train scene. Strobe lighting during action just hurts my eyes.
Predators I really dug this one. It might be my favourite after the original. It's less cheesy, more grim and cynical. The loveable macho meat-heads are traded in for a group morally grey killers, varying shades of scummy. It expands on the Predator lore, and technology, while also creating a cool new conceit for the hunting.
I was a little annoyed at first for the way it wasted Danny Trejo, but the film more than won me over by the end for it's cool set-pieces and character moments. Most of which, the sword fight. It felt gratifying to finally get that mano-a-mano blade-battle we never got to see in the original film.
Only nit-pick; too many characters doing the gruff out-of-breath voice.
The Predator After enjoying Predators, and seeing a funny clip on You Tube, I had my hopes set pretty high for this one. And... it was OK. It started strong. But around the half-way point it starts to get really messy.
It was leaning a lot heavier into the goofier side of Predator, bordering hard on self-aware, but never crossing into tonally obnoxious. And "The Loonies" were all a lot of fun. Character wise it was strong.
Putting aside all the weird directions the plot goes in, I think it's mainly the big Predator that drags things down. The little one had lots of personality, and was a little killing machine. But the big one kept doing that annoying thing where he'd just grab a main character and throw them across the room, sometimes multiple times in a row.
Yeah, not awful, but I can see why people didn't like it so much. Still a good laugh.
