Courtesy of Talking Pictures TV, currently watching "Murder in Reverse" (1945) starring the first Doctor and Chancellor Flavia. I gather this movie may have been lost for many years.

Clifford Such an odd film. Short and Grodin give such weird hilarious performances.

2 differeat types of Horror
Studio 666
(The Foo Fighters [Yes Really] go to a Cabin Studio to try to complete their latest Album at the same Satan chooses Dave to be its new vessel, now the rest of the band have to save Dave's Soul and get the Album to the Record Exec in time.)
The Lodge [2019]
(Hammer doing a sort of low budget slightly more modern attitude Shinning forget to mention featuring Alicia Sliverstone and Richard "Hot Rassalion" Armitage )

It embraces the b-horror and you can tell that the band and all the rest of the cast and crew had a ball.

The Maltese Falcon
I had never seen it before, and it wasn't what I was expecting. I was expecting something darker and a bit more brooding. The pace of it surprised me as well. It flew along, with barely any time to take in one plot twist to another. If this was made now there would have been 5 more "Sam Spade" movies to capitalize on Bogie's anti-hero. Good movie, glad I finally saw it.

I came home from London yesterday ( ) but while there charlesuirdhein and I went to see the 100th Anniversary showing of Nosferatu at the Prince Charles Cinema. First, the Prince Charles is a treasure. I hope it lasts a long time. The film was a terrific look at the history of cinema, and was damned creepy. So many vampire tropes that we know well started with this film. I had also never seen a silent movie from beginning to end before, so it was a first for me. We had a great time. We then found a film called The Shadow of the Vampire starring John Malkovitch, Willem Defoe and Cary Elwes. It's a fictional account about the making of Nosferatu. Defoe seems to be having a great time chewing the scenery (literally at times) and it was a great follow up to seeing the actual film ON the flight home I watched Belfast (excellent) and Licorice Pizza ( very enjoyable).
