And I finished Nimona. I cried my eyes out. 5 out of 5 stars. Would cry again. This is on my watch list now that it's been placed on Youtube
It along with the Barbie movie and Everything Everywhere All At Once
It will be on Youtube for this weekend, then it will be gone again (and back on Netflix). So now is the time. It is awesome.

The Zone of Interest. Jonathan Glazer has done it again a brilliant film.

Another movie night come and gone.
We watched Tron and made a toast in David Warner's honor. He plays three characters in the film and half the movie is just him talking to himself. lol

There was a 1/2 page review of this movie in our newspaper 2 days ago..
They basically said at the end of the review that this film should be shown in schools it's that important :
I just checked, it is showing at the major cinema chain that is a 5 minute drive from my house.

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

Went and watched The Princess Bride on a big screen this afternoon… with the score performed live by the Perth Symphony Orchestra. Great fun.

.. So are you going to the WWE Elimination Chamber Match tonight?
The Women's Champion Rhea Rhipley is from Adelaide - not too too far from where I grew up - she is defending her title tonight.
"" ..... "".

Wes Anderson's Asteroid City (The "Making of" Stage Show is the strongest material and its interesting to see Tom Hanks Act in the Anderson format alongside the Usual Suspects Adrian Brody and Edward Norton.) Knights of the Zodiac (Action Adventure hod poge Now mortals and living mainly in Japan, Gods Zeus [Sean Bean] and Hera [Franke Jansen] debate letting their children be re-incarnated. I call it a hod poge because the Gods powers manifest as Samurai and Ninja skills.) Regards mark687

Law Abiding Citizen if a film cried out for a different ending, it was this one

On the plane coming home from London:
The Holdovers. A very good character piece about three sad people left along over Christmas. Paul Giamotti is always excellent, and Da'Vine Joy Randolph is outstanding. Dominic Sessa as Angus is also great, and I hope to see him in more roles in the future.
Creed: The first one. I had never seen it, and it's quite good. Michael B. Jordan and Stallone have some good chemistry going on.
Autin Powers, only a half of it. That was all I needed. I had never seen it and I wasn't missing much. Kind of fun in an uncomfortable way. I don't feel the need to finish it.

The Shamrock Spitfire - Did I spend two (and a half with a cancelled train) hours yesterday doing a round trip to go and see a film that has some truly poor shot-composition, bad colour-correction in places & pure "shot on a green-screen" vibes?
I did, didn't I?... (Face-palms)

Dune Part 1
This isn’t a franchise I’m familiar with at all, but current hype about the sequel and the awards this picked up few years back caught my eye. Blimey it’s good. It’s some really good sci-fi that feels so deep, whilst simultaneously honing in on its lead as tightly as possible. And the production is incredible, even confined to Netflix on my laptop.
I was debating making a cinema trip tomorrow, and I think this has made up my mind.

I really enjoyed the first as a pure cinematic experience, but didn’t adore it because it’s got so much world building and lore that I couldn’t truly appreciate in the one film and ever since I’ve been hoping the second would make it click by spending more time in that world. Much like it did with The Lord of the Rings. Watched it on opening night, bloody loved it and hope they do Dune Messiah.
