-Staying in Cincinnati for a couple of nights. -Crosses the bridge to go and see a film in Kentucky instead. Logic, I'm sure...
Of the three films that I have now seen whilst on holiday in America over the years, 'Kalki 2898 AD' was most certainly... The latest.

We watched Pocahontas for the Disney stream this week.
As an adult its easier to see the flaws in it, (like that is not coastal Virginia at all) but there's still so many good things to enjoy, including the music and that ending. You also come to appreciate how realistic a villain Ratcliffe is.

Godzilla Minus One again. I plan to watch that some time this week, myself. Can't say I'm the biggest Godzilla fan, but I really loved Shin Godzilla and have heard nothin but good things about Minus One.

Anyone But You [2023]
(Surprisingly old school plain talking and relatable Rom-Com featuring Sydney Sweeny)
The King's Man
(Turns out this was a 1st viewing for me, good enough set up for the Franchise though a touch overlong)

Been a few busy days but Friday's stream was James and the Giant Peach Ooh! I'd like to rewatch that one, someday. I don't remember too much about it, from when I saw it as a kid, but I definitely remember adoring the animation.

Inside Out 2 I felt like I needed a nice Disney movie to cheer me up today. I liked the first one, so how bad could it be? It was actually a very nice movie. Well made, colorful, with a moving story and great characters. It is also pretty clever and goes quite deep psychologically.
Yes, this is very small scale drama and no end-of-the-world emergency action, just a few days in the head of a normal teenager. But that is a bonus- it helps to keep the plot tight and on point.
Since I suffer from ADHD, I can only too easily imagine how all the colorful people in my head go berserk on a regular basis and press a variety of buttons... As a thought, actually having a sequel to this, this time happening in the head of a neurodivergent person would be pretty awesome.
I also sat through the credits for the end credit scene. And reading along, I learned that they had counselors (psychologists I assume) as support for the crew, who were thanked and credited by name.
Very nice touch to include this.

Luca It was a sweet little film. The dream sequences always felt a little jarring, and I found it a little hard to get invested in their fixation on a Vespa, but in terms of just being a fun 'kid's summer' kind of film, it was quite nice.

Thank you for the recommendation, just bought this, looks like a nice movie (and a good preparation for my holiday in Italy later this year).

Or I could have just saved myself the $22 and seen it at the cinema I'm a member of at home for "free"...

Boogie NightsThat was an absolute cluster-bomb of a film. I haven't seen it since I saw it in the cinemas. All I remember is thinking, "Marky Mark is on the big screen" !

Boogie NightsThat was an absolute cluster-bomb of a film. Agreed but at the same time Burt Reynolds and Heather Grahame "Know" it so it's oddly engaging Regards mark687
