Finished the Box Set and I have to say that this was one of the best releases this year. The standouts were Plant X by guyadams which was very interesting and had a wonderful setting and a great set of characters which neither were boring , and The Emporium At The End where Sam Kisgart played The Master absolutely charming, sadistic and bonkers which had a good story to back it up as well. I can't wait for the next set of adventures and can't wait for them to come(hopefully not too long).

I love Warner's Doctor to bits. But ... I want to regenerate him now. I'd make the fourth Doctor of that universe a bit of an Inspector Gadget, full of grand intentions but about as useful as a damp noodle.
But who'd play him? Mark Gatiss would be good.... OOHH can you imagine Gatiss versus Sam Kisgart? That's be sublime.

It occurs to me that the Unicorns in "the very dark thing" are also survivors of The War, something with a single stalk on its head. Something that arbitrarily kills.....

FInally getting around to starting this one. Library in the Body is excellent and sets up the set really well and Bowerman and Warner have great chemistry.

I listened to Planet X again a few days ago and I think it may be my favorite Big Finish release of 2016.

Has there been any word on when we are likely to hear Volume 4? Hopefully not too long.

Given that it's been a yearly seriescso far, I think we'll hear something at ChicagoTARDIS or in an upcoming DWM. warner was in the studio recently, presumably as Luke Betterman innJ&L, but they could have double blocked him and Lisa.

I disagree, he should potter about in what's left of his universe making its last few millennia as best as possible.

I just want a box set or two of the Unbound Doctor encountering his counterparts in the proper Who universe. The Warner Doctor is so unlike anything we've had on telly or on audio that I think there are a lot of interesting stories that could be told.

Eh, I'd rather the unbound Doctors be kept to their unbound universes, but I suppose I'd be open to it. A good story's a good story.

Does Earth still exist? What about Gallifrey or Skaro or the Cyberiad? Earth might, but I think the other three should be dust. What are the Cybermen like in his universe? Extinct? How different were his pre-exile adventures? I rather like the idea they were identical to what we saw on TV. It gives us familiar territory to work off. OHH can we get a Rocketmen story? Can you imagine how monstrously pissed off the Doctor would be to encounter them preying on survivors?

I got the impression that his TARDIS was fully repaired at the end of the set, so he wouldn't be restricted to the end of the universe any more.
Anywhere in Time and Space..

I thought he set about repairing it, but given access to the Emporium (and a Sonic Screwdriver) he might have repaired it, but he has sacrificed a lot of his memories to preserve what's left of the universe, he doesn't even remember the Time Lords or the Master. Remembering how to repair the TARDIS might be lost as well.

I'm pretty hopeful that in the next box set we have an alternate pure historical where Bernice knows history is supposed to happen a certain way in her universe and tries to help set it on track, but the Doctor has to stop her or something like that.

All that said, the Doctor strops off in a huff at the end of Library in the Body and comes back moments later having toddled about doing good deeds, which suggests that thevpreviously crippled and dying TARDIS was less crippled. Perhaps the Doctor at the conclusion of LitB was from after Emporium. He then leaves again, only for stroppy Doctor to come back and take Benny to where Emproium started. Then we get Planet X and Very Dark Thing, both of which require a working(ish) TARDIS.
So things go: Library up until the Doctor strops off. Emporium at the End. Library conclusion. Planet X (Doctor showing off working TARDIS) Very Dark Thing.

I want to see sets with the Bayldon, Weir, and Brooker Doctors, and perhaps the Unbound Valeyard.
