Just installed build 51. Do I need to delete and reinstall to free up any memory previously failed downloads are using or will they have been cleaned up automatically?

You would have to delete the app to free the wasted space. It only wasted space if it was in the middle of unzipping the files. So if you had a download that started, but after that failed, it probably has some wasted space.

If I tap on a Download Completed notificaton, the app opens wherever it previously was. I would have thought it would go to the device list since that's where the completed download is.
More importantly, the notification doesn't go away unless I slide it off. I can select it as often as I want to launch the app.

When I'm in settings and checking storage space, if I look at downloads I can see the following. The entries seem to relate to old zip files thay are gone. selecting one gives a message saying the file cannot be found. The list includes titles I've downloaded, including ones I've previously deleted.

That's just the download managers history. I'm using the built-in service to handle downloads. The files are automatically deleted by the system when they are done. I'm actually not deleting them at all, Android seems to handle that bit.

Has anybody had issues were downloads fail immediately and it says "file error"?

Can't say I have. I've had file errors when I try to refresh my cloud list, which you said was an issue at BF's end, but that's all.

One thing that does annoy me a little is that the app doesn't show when you have a filter active.
I keep going to my device list, seeing it's empty, and panicking that my downloads are gone, before remembering that I was browsing my cloud list the day before and had left a filter on.

I really wish there was some way to have titles in release order rather than alphabetical.

I agree. I've wanted this too.
I ran out of dev time for iOS. I'll see if I can sneak this one in for Android.

One of the reports there is that some of them are finding only titles up to 100MB will download, no matter how much storage space they have.

Showing the filtered range header looks great and seems to work perfectly . So now we're beating the IOS App? Oh... Yes! Cheers Tony
