To Android Beta Testers: Does it let you install the APK? Not sure what "APK" stands for, but I installed the app (listed under the icon "Beta" on my phone) and it is awaiting an upload from you guys. And by the way, thanks for including me. I'm very excited for this.

Yes I've installed it this morning.
Cloud view of my titles works. Tapping on one triggers a download but nothing shows on my Device list. Download ends up stuck in system cache on completion.

Restarted my phone and the downloaded titles now appear. Downloaded another title and it appeared on the My Device list.
Downloaded titles can be played.
None of the menu items work, presume this is deliberate at this stage.

elkawho - APK is an Android App Install file ("Android Package") hackmodford : Testing (so far) on Nexus 9 (Android 6.0.1) Downloaded and installed ok. I can see my titles on Cloud Download seems to work (can see what looks like a download progress underneath the title being downloaded - just a number that increases) -Clicking the same title again re-downloads -Allows for multiple downloading of same file, unable to cancel duplicate Have to restart device before downloaded title appears in Device. Any new downloads appear fine after the initial restart Titles play - pause/play works as does forward/rewind 30. Cheers Tony EDIT: Downloaded the multi-part "Worlds of Doctor Who". When I select it from "Devices", it lists the various parts but these are duplicated - I may have duplicated the downloaded but not sure. I downloaded a single story ("The Wormery") and this was a duplicate download, but only shows up once (screenshots below)

Yeah, be careful with the duplicate downloads. There's no check at the moment. Very rough at this point When a download completes, you shouldn't need to reboot to see it. It just may be taking a while, the system has to process the contents of the zip files and that may take a while. Maybe I didn't notify the device list that the contents have changed... Also, none of the menu items work. All of them are just placeholders for what I want to eventually be. Glad to see that it's running on an Android device that is not mine

Doiwnload issue was only that first time after installation, downloads fine now.
Made some purchases today and they aren't showing in my Cloud library.

I don't think anything triggers the refresh at the moment. Eventually there will be auto-refresh and pull to refresh just like the iOS app.

I'm downloading find and listening fine. I can pause the track and when I come back a few hours later it picks it up from where it left off. That used to be a problem on the old app.

New version installed: No longer duplicates downloads Search does work - confused me though as once a title has been downloaded it disappears from "Cloud" so search didn't pick up my search query.
Cheers

Downloaded ok. I didn't have to delete the app and reinstall. Search works fine as well. I love the new sorting options available.

I did have to delete and reinstall.
Search and sort work on Cloud now, filter and settings still do nothing. Downloading Gallifrey now to try playing something.
Thoughts about playing from yesterday are that track selection and skip functions would be helpful, as would time played and remaining indicators. I'm sure these are all on the to-do list.

Ditto ^^. New ver downloaded and installed fine over the older version. Sorting is great Downloads show up after about 20 seconds in "Device" without a restart

Can't download; says "There is a problem parsing the package". Not sure what that means, or how to solve it, but I deleted the old app in faith of this one, so I'm hoping there's a quick fix. It could be a corrupt download - restart your device and try again (it's worked for at least 3 of us . Also, make sure you have allowed "Installation from Unknown Sources" in your main Apps settings. (silly question - you are downloading it via the crashlytics app that was sent to us aren't you?) Cheers Tony

Yep; had to turn that on to get the Crashlytics to download. Which I assume answers your third question. Thought so, but worth checking - I did say it was a silly question Cheers Tony

...and still the same issue. :/ Bugger . I guess Crashlytics still installs ok? Could be you still have bits left over from the old app? Check in your Apps settings and make sure the app has gone. I have a folder on my sd-card called '/sdcard/Android/data/com.hugesmedia.big_finish', you could rename that (not sure how important it is so I wouldn't delete it yet). Also, can you reset your cache? That will be in your devices recovery menu (you want erase cache NOT erase data). If none of them work, I'm at a loss. Cheers Tony EDIT: It may help if you can post your device type (make/model) and version of Andoid

Luckily I've still got my iPod which I can use in a pinch, but storage space is valuable... Crash is working, check. Checked the folders using my file manager, but no luck. I'll try erasing cache though. And no idea as to the make and model... *shrug* I'll nose around though. Oh, BTW, thanks for your help mate! No worries, just trying to think of the obvious stuff . If you go to Settings, should have an option called "About Phone" or "About Tablet" or something similar. Below that should be a "Model number" and "Android Version" (or similar depending on your version) Cheers Tony

Model number is ZTE R22, Android Version is 4.0.4, Build Number is R22 T03. Not sure if that helps or not! Did you try re-installing the older version (v1.0 (1))? If you find the App "Beta", it should give you the option to download the latest version and the previous one. Just noticed that the original version (extremely rough version) says it should work with Android ver 4.4 onwards. You are running 4.0.4, so that may be the issue - prob worth a pm to hackmodford . Cheers Tony EDIT: Just realised, the "hugesmedia" folder is from the original BF app and nothing to do with this one (not that that helps any lol).
