Haven't tried 1, but have tried 2 and obviously 3. Ah, okay. That makes sense. Does Android have a system upgrade... thing? Or am I stuck with begging Mr Nice Hackmodford Sir to make it work? I'm not sure there are any official upgrades for your phone but you could check - Settings, About Phone, System Updates or Software Updates, or "Check for Updates" (or something similar). If not you are starting to look at "rooting" and unofficial upgrades but I wouldn't recommend that unless you know what you are doing ... too many ways to kill your phone lol. The only other option is hope our friendly developer can get it to work with 4.0.4 for you, or try to find a copy of the original BF app and continue to use that. Cheers Tony

Sounds like the 4.0.4 is the problem. I targeted 4.4+ which covers 76% of all active Android devices. --------- Timestamps and track selections are coming. Also, if there is only one track, it should play immediately instead of going to the track list. Don't have any plans for skip buttons. It clutters up the interface. If you need a different track, there will be others ways to do that. ----- To-do: Range Filter Settings Now Playing screen needs attention - Chapter Browser
- Playlist/Track browser
- Sleep Timer
Proper Handling of downloads. Show download size or remaining/total time of audio. I'm aiming for feature parity with the iPhone version.

Imstalled build 4.
Filter range now works, making it really easy to find yesterday's Sherlock Holmes purchases.
Medium text now shows the cast
While downloading, a title flashes and the number 0 becomes what looks like a count of seconds elapsed(or percentage complete, not sure)

The entry for the downloaded title now proudly declares 100.

Silly question time - where does it store the downloaded files? I've run out of storage but can't delete any of the titles from my device. Of course I could just be being thick - it is before 9am Cheers Tony EDIT: It doesn't matter, I found out that if I remove the app, it removes the downloaded titles too. I assume that they are stored in the app data folder. hackmodford, are we going to be able to change the storage folder in later releases (SD-Card for instance)?

ver 1.04 - Everything works as stated. Medium text still appears in track list of multiple titles (i.e. Second Doctor Boxset), but shows the cast list correctly on main list. Is this right? Cheers Tony EDIT: Scrap that last question, medium text shows "Big Finish Productions" on track list and Cast list on main download list. Thanks

I hope to add SD card support eventually. However, we're trying to get this out ASAP. So the first release won't have SD card or Chromecast support.
Be thankful they decided to keep sorting and filtering in the initial release 😜

Bugger . I guess Crashlytics still installs ok? Could be you still have bits left over from the old app? Check in your Apps settings and make sure the app has gone. I have a folder on my sd-card called '/sdcard/Android/data/com.hugesmedia.big_finish', you could rename that (not sure how important it is so I wouldn't delete it yet). Also, can you reset your cache? That will be in your devices recovery menu (you want erase cache NOT erase data). If none of them work, I'm at a loss. Cheers Tony EDIT: It may help if you can post your device type (make/model) and version of Andoid Bugger indeed mate! Luckily I've still got my iPod which I can use in a pinch, but storage space is valuable... Crash is working, check. Checked the folders using my file manager, but no luck. I'll try erasing cache though. And no idea as to the make and model... *shrug* I'll nose around though. Oh, BTW, thanks for your help mate! UPDATE-This is why I'm an apple person for the most part. Can't find the cache thingy. Can one of you "kids" help me with the watchamacallit? In settings, go to Storage. One of the items listed is cache, and if you click the button it will delete everything in there.

hackmodford, do I post bug reports here or does the app send bug reports anonymously? Have installed 1.0(7) and works find on vanilla Android v6.0.1 (Nexus 9), but on a Samsung Tablet running Android v6.0.1 (and Touchwiz), the App crashes when you try to play anything. Bizarrely, as long as I leave the error message on the screen (can't remember the exact error, but something like "Big Finish App has generated an error"), the track plays fine. As soon as I get rid of the error message, it stops playing. I've tried this on releases with multiple tracks, and also single track releases - the same prob. I have also uninstalled, reinstalled, gone back to v1.0(5) with the same issue. I assume it has something to do with Samsung's Touchwiz interface. Also, feature request (for the distant future). Can we have a desktop (background) widget? Cheers Tony

It's actually working on everything I have access to except for the Galaxy Tab S2 - perhaps not Touchwiz then, maybe something strange with my tablet Cheers Tony

It's hard to say. Crashlytics will auto-send crash reports to me. But things are very messy right now, so It's hard to know when a crash report is something I expect vs an actual problem. I'll keep it in mind though!
On a side note, I just installed this on an older tablet I had lying around and noticed that the timestamps on the player screen are missing. Does anybody else have this issue?

Actually the app has crashed twice this evening on my S4. Once when I plugged in some earphones and once when I was clearing notifications from my lock screen.

Tested on my Friends Galaxy S6 and it didn't crash. More research is needed...
The timestamps not showing must be a Android 5 issue, will look into it.
My friend pointed out if you start playback then dismiss the app (via app switcher) it stops playback. It should continue playing (Audible and Amazon Music does) Didn't realize it should behave this way...

Ver 1.0(8) Vanilla Android 6.0.1: - Circular progress bar works on downloads - not really smooth tho', image flickers when updating. Might be nice to have a % indicator as well (if possible) or at least have a different block colour for the progress bar - Playback continues ok when using app switcher or pressing home button. - Timestamp ok Vanilla Android v5.1.1 - Timestamp still not showing Samsung Tablet (Android v.6.0.1) - Still crashes app on playback (but playback works as long as I don't close the error) Cheers Tony

Ver 1.0 (9) You can now stop downloads with the new stop button. Fixed player layout on older devices (API 21-) Doubt it will fix the Samsung tablet crash, but please let me know Improved split-view layout for tablets Improved circular progress UI.
