Ver 1.0(8) Vanilla Android 6.0.1: - Circular progress bar works on downloads - not really smooth tho', image flickers when updating. Might be nice to have a % indicator as well (if possible) or at least have a different block colour for the progress bar - Playback continues ok when using app switcher or pressing home button. - Timestamp ok Vanilla Android v5.1.1 - Timestamp still not showing Samsung Tablet (Android v.6.0.1) - Still crashes app on playback (but playback works as long as I don't close the error) Cheers Tony There is a percentage indicator on the downloads. Once you start a download the filesize entry gets replaced by a 1-100 count. Doesn't have a percentage sign so not immediately obvious what it is.

I think it would be better to either have the % sign next to the number or have a smoother circular progress bar, that's easier to see (especially on bright cover images). At the moment it looks as though it redraws the cover image every time it updates the progress - certainly not a bid thing, but enough to annoy me Cheers Tony

You're right about it redrawing the image every time. Right now I'm using a notifyItemDidUpdate function. I'll have to see if there's a better way. Also, there is no percentage indicator anymore. I'm going to copy the behavior from the iOS app. However you Android users are lucky. If you need the percentage check out the notification.

Sorry I haven't been posting. I had a small problem with the update a couple of days ago, but it seems to have been resolved and it's working fine today. I've been using it all day without a problem and I can't even remember what exactly the problem was. I already love this app so much that I'm listening to BF on my phone so much more than I have ever done before. Keep those updates coming!

Main thing that would make me use this app more than by built in music player would be ability to download to SD card. As it is I haven't got space to download a large collection of titles.

v1.0(9) Circular progress is much smoother and flickering refresh of cover image has gone Noticed if I cancel a download and then exit the app, I get a "Big finish app has stopped" error and the download keeps going (Nexus 9, Android 6.0.1 - haven't tried to replicate on v5.1.1) Still no go on the Samsung. It's possible that I have something else installed that is causing the app to crash, but I'm not in a position to 'factory reset' it, to test. It might be something to do with the Samsung Knox App (security app), but haven't found how to disable it. Could be worth testing it on another Tab S2 (Model SM-T710) or other Samsung device that has Knox installed, if you can. Cheers Tony EDIT: Reminder to self, don't exit the app while a download is in progress. This is nearly an hour later. I'll have to restart my tablet lol Attachment Deleted

Are you just going to the home screen or a different app? Are you starting a download, then going to the task switcher and swiping it away?

Are you just going to the home screen or a different app? Are you starting a download, then going to the task switcher and swiping it away? It was totally unintended. I wanted to cancel the download I was testing the circular progress with. Pressed the 'x' to cancel the download and then "think" I pressed the back button before it had chance to cancel the download. At that point I got the "Big Finish has stopped" error, so I'm not sure if I accidentally exited the app by pressing the back button too many times (I wasn't really concentrating lol) or whether the app closed because of the error. I've just tested it again and pressing back (to exit) while a download is going on, exits the app fine (but the download continues). When I go back into the app, it still shows the download progressing and then it finishes normally. My best guess is that it was just a coincidence of circumstances, but I'll keep an eye on it Cheers Tony

I think the new version will take care of the crash.

Build 10 will allow you to delete an album by long pressing.
I think that means all library functionality is present.
Just need to work on player, chapters, sleep timer, and track/playlist view.

I'll have a go at the weekend, if I can work out how to get crashlytics installed on it without the email (I'll try bluetoothing the apk, hopefully that will work)

Circular Progress seems even smoother with this update, did you change something? Thanks for the hard work hackmodford, it's shaping up nicely Cheers Tony

My pleasure I divided the progress into 1,000 segments. Before it was 100 segments.

Latest version is looking really good. Deleting downloads is a god-send and the timestamp on the player works now - not on the miniplayer on the lock screen though, it was there briefly a couple of builds back, but no sign of it today.
and it hasn't crashed for days either!

Build 12 will have better colors. I finally gave up automating the entire thing using the newer Palette library that Google made. Now, it will just get the dominate color. Instead of trying to get an accent color, I take the dominant color and use some math to calculate an accent color that should always look good. This works well for artwork that had only one color (I'm looking at you Charlotte Pollard series!)
