Wow, was going to order a few single discs to the US, but seems there is a new charge for that. They wanted to tack on almost $9 extra as "Per Order Charge" on top of the shipping. Didn't seem to add this charge if I added a pre built season bundle to the cart. Not run into this charge on previous orders.

Possibly, but if so its something that should have been mentioned before it was going to happen. Like the Upping of the price of some of the Pre-orders

The Per Order Charge is definitely a game changer, and not a helpful one to those with a careful budget.

Didn't seem to add this charge if I added a pre built season bundle to the cart. Not run into this charge on previous orders. Probably Brexit related... They've said in a reply to a query that their international postage not going up has been losing them money since the decision to not increase it was introduced. They're not lying wither - I used to post blurays to a friend in the US and the price has more than doubled in the past year or two. I can take the hit but a business of their size absorbing that? Ouch. So little to do with Brexit (since we haven't Brexited anything!) and more to do with ever increasing postage. Doesn't make it much nicer to just stumble across a new charge out of the blue though. Again, the personal touch BF always have had seems to have been forgotten.

Comment from BF on FB regarding the shipping increases:
Not putting up the postage ever since we introduced it has started to hugely hurt us on physical purchases. This is especially the case on International orders, and we've got to the point where we have to match what we are in turn being charged.

Series 1 DOSEN'T come with DL versions if that's any help in making your choice. Personally I'd go for Series 2 Old Soldiers and Hellicon Prime are excellent.

DL doesn't make much difference to me, I'll wait for a second opinion for which series to go for. (Not because I don't trust yours, just because I want to be sure.)

I spent far more than I would have liked but also took a significant chunk out of my 'to buy' list. All of series 2 and 3 and 15 other assorted releases plus this month's listeners. 32 total for just over $100. Not a bad payout if I do say so myself.

I think Series 2 is slightly ahead of Series 1 as well. Neither is top-tier CC material as it took a few years for the range to really hit its stride but Old Soldiers - while being a bit of a slighty story - is worth it alone as it really feels like you're sitting down with The Brig and he's regaling you will old tales.

The First Doctor has maybe the best selection of all the CC range. The Rocket Men, The Time Museum and the Sara Kingdom and Oliver Harper trilogies are all just fantastic releases. For the Second Doctor, I love The Jigsaw War most of all though that's me, I think the Zoe stories dealing with her post-Doc memory loss are more popularly accepted as being the best. I liked them, but if you're only going to pick up a few releases....I'd stick with the First Doctor honestly. The batting average is much higher.

Any 2nd Doctor narrated by Frasier Hines in particular The Glorious Revolution, the Jigsaw War, The Selachin Gambit and the 2nd Doc Boxset.
