Finished off the last couple episodes of Sex Education plus the new episode of Star Trek: Picard last night. This morning the new episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and tonight I’m planning on diving into the new season of Altered Carbon

MASH: Season 6, Episodes 1-3 - Winchester makes his debut at last. I like him okay. Frank's more memorable to me, but Winchester's more layered. Arrogant enough to be adversarial, but competent enough and smart enough to have some depth.
Then Radar got hurt and everyone's shouting at each other and please just all be friends :S
Also got to see James Cromwell before he had grey hair. Feels wrong, man.

Time Tunnel. A great series, with intelligent scripts and quality production values from Irwin Allen, with a good dose of Star Trek TOS sensibilities whereby the protagonists get stuck in with a bit of fist fighting each episode for good measure, as that's what male protagonists did back in the day. Used to watch it on late night TV over 32 years ago, which was in correct order, with cliffhangers leading seguing into the next episode/destination. The DVD makes it hard work, being in production order for some reason, and therefore with cliffhangers are excised and relegated to the extras. A fairly dumb decision as many pointed out, as it means that episode continuity is messed up too. I think I will have to get on wikipedia to plot a viewing order as opposed to disc sequence for future viewings though. It also gets the thumbs up from my Father, a formidable critic, who remembers it well from the 60's, up there with The Invaders, Gurney Slade, Dr Who, Star Trek, The Magic Roundabout, Randall & Hopkirk, as a very well remembered programme and as being must watch TV. And he never watched any old rubbish....

The Twilight Zone 2020 Episodes 8-10 Great Ending to the series with some very brilliant easter eggs That season was such a mixed bag for me. There were episodes that I loved and was left thinking about for days afterward, and there were others that I despised and would be fine with having all copies of them destroyed. I remember being distinctly unimpressed with the season finale lol Still, I'm looking forward to seeing what the second season does.

Finished BoJack Horseman yesterday. One of my all time favorite shows, it was brilliant and enthralling from beginning to end.

I understand they corrected the episode order and restored the links to the following episode when it came out on this format.

Cheers for the info - I thought that was the case, am minded to double dip, will keep an eye out for discounts, as the DVD is still excellent quality and came at a good discount owing to aforementioned issues. Beats me why they went with the edits and sequencing first time around though.

I hated almost every single one of them, and the finale in particular. I loathe the idea that they'd puppet Rod Serling around and put words in a dead man's mouth like that. It's different than a CG Grand Moff Tarkin, because Rod Serling is not a character, he was a real person and so having him voice his approval of the current series was extremely distasteful to me. Maybe he would approve. Maybe he wouldn't. We'll never know. I think the only one I outright enjoyed was "A Traveler," the one in the Alaskan police station. "Six Degrees of Freedom" and "Blue Scorpion" had promise but were held back by some silly choices. Everything else...no thank you.

Hello again.
Inside No. 9 Thinking Out Loud: Another interesting story. You really don't know where it is going until the final inevitable two minutes. Great performances from the cast including Maxine Peake and Phil Davies. Rather reminded me of Alan Bennett's Talking Heads. Looking forward to the final story Stakeout.

Episode 4 of Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist. I adore this show, and this episode was the most beautiful one yet. It struck multiple chords in me on quite a few levels. Not the least of which is that Naoko Mori plays a small but important and surprising role. I highly recommend this show!

Not the least of which is that Naoko Mori plays a small but important and surprising role. I highly recommend this show! After such a glowing review curiosity got the better of me so I went browsing. This looks like it might be a spiritual successor of sorts to My Crazy Ex Girlfriend (albeit without the near the knuckle but very funny songs), and as it premieres over here tomorrow night I'll definitely record it for watching later. Thanks for the heads up!

MASH: Season 6, Episodes 4-6 - A fair bit of time devoted to fleshing out Winchester here. It's a different dynamic than with Frank, but when a show goes on for this long, it's important to keep things evolving. Also Dr Freedman is always a welcome presence.

I'd heard good things about the Netflix show Tuca & Bertie, so I decided to check it out a few days ago. I was quite intoxicated at the time, watched two episodes, and can confirm that there are not enough intoxicants on this Earth for me to sit through another episode.
Since then I've started up one I've been meaning to see for a while, Sam Barnett's Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency. I'm three episodes in and I remain undecided. All of the actors' performances are stellar, but I'm having a really hard time getting engaged with the story.

MASH: Season 6, Episodes 7-9 - Some pretty old fashioned views on tattooing here, but definitely period accurate. Dirty needles, poor artwork, a lifetime of regret and so on. Well, I dunno, Hawkeye, I love my half-sleeve and I want my other arm done too someday. It's fun and pretty.
I think my only real worry is that it might make things difficult should I ever visit Japan.
