Upload episodes 1 & 2, an interesting idea that isn't really used to its full dramatic or comedic potential.

MacGyver (new one) Season 4 Ep 1 So Question for US/OZ Viewers Was it a cold open of "Six Months Later Yes Really" with just the offhand mention by Dennis from Lost that the Phoenix had been disbanded because of a Mole, also no mention of Oversight/Dad at all? It feels like they've missed out a series worth of development Regards mark687

Blackadder: Series 1 (all 6) - I felt like replacing MASH in our viewing schedule with another comedy, and Mr Polly said he hasn't seen much of this show, so Blackadder it is. It's been a long time since I've seen anything from the first series. As noted by everyone else on the planet, it's quite different and not quite as good. However, it's not terrible either. I think "The Archbishop" and "Witchsmeller Pursuivant" are standouts compared to the rest. And while Fry, Laurie, and Richardson are MIA, we do get BRIAN BLESSED in the exchange. Overall, it got stronger as it went along, and by the finale Blackadder's characterization is much closer to the rest of the series than it was in Episode 1. I've never seen more than a few scenes from Blackadder, but I had this same conversation yesterday with a friend who was recommending it to me. He made it clear that I should not skip series 1.

Well worth pursuing from beginning to end if you've got the time. Keep an eye out for a short cameo in that first series from William Russell come "The Archbishop". *taps nose* I didn't recognise him first time I watched it (for reasons that'll become apparent), but he's great fun there.

I've never seen more than a few scenes from Blackadder, but I had this same conversation yesterday with a friend who was recommending it to me. He made it clear that I should not skip series 1. Well, it is rather different than the rest of the show. It hadn't quite found its formula yet so it's a little clunky. I'm of two minds about recommending it to new fans. I feel like Blackadder II makes a better showcase for what the series is actually like, and makes a perfectly good starting point. Then if you like it, you can always backtrack and check out Series 1 as a curiosity. On the other hand, Blackadder 1 might seem even more jarring that way. It would probably be a smoother evolution if viewed in its proper place. So it depends, I guess, on what sort of viewer you are, how much time you have, and if you have access to the entire show or just piecemeal. Either way, at 6 x 30min episodes, it's not like you're slogging through 30 hours of Star Trek: The Next Generation waiting for them to get their poop in a group finally.

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

When Blackadder first aired in my home town they showed 2 and 3 first (4 hadn’t aired yet) then went back and did 1 (or “The” if you want to be pedantic). It was quite jarring.

Hello again.
Things not going too well in Kernow Towers. So watching old telly on YouTube. Finally, finished Survivors. Season Two grim but excellent episodes. Season Three, very up and down but Brian Blessed's episode is a highlight. The most interesting thing is all the different responses to the virus by the various groups.
As a complete contrast I watched Press Gang, a certain Mr Moffatt's first tv programme. What a blast! A really intelligent, funny and enjoyable series. A great young cast, and a really fascinating look back at the foreign country of the early Nineties. Give it a go! It really cheered me up and the more serious episodes deal with issues in a non-patronising way.

Delta Wave: Light Fantastic
90’s sci-fi show about psychic kids with one very memorable guest character, Peter Capaldi as an evil tap dancing psychic vampire!😀🧛🏻♂️
Side note: Peter is so good at playing vampires how has he never played Dracula?!

Hello again.
Sorry, did I read that right? Evil tap-dancing vampire? Right. Just off to check this out.
By the way, if you like really silly vampires check out What We Do in the Shadows. Vampire houseshare on BBCIplayer at present two seasons of absolute joyous silliness.

Finished up a rewatch of Sharpe from Rifles all the way through to Waterloo. David Troughton (playing the eventual Duke of Wellington) sounds just like his father at times and I'd have taken Michael Cochrane's Redvers Fenn-Cooper over the eagerly deplorable Colonel Simmerson any day.

Only Fools and Horses: Series 3, Episodes 5-6 - Lying to Rodney about the cops being after him was a really cruel thing on Del's part. I don't think I've ever quite been that disgusted with him. On the other hand, getting out from under Slater's thumb might have been one of his best schemes yet. Highs and lows. Hill Street Blues: Season 4, Episodes 9-10 - Speaking of disgust, this show had a goose murderer!

Only Fools and Horses: "Who's a Pretty Boy?" - Wrapping up Season 3 with an ex-canary.
Only Fools and Horses: "Thicker Than Water" - Reg Trotter lives up to his reputation for trickery. I vaguely recall hearing about maybe some questionable parentage for Del and Rodney, so I guess this is that.
