Lovecraft Country season 1 episode 1 Sundown. Very good opening episode to this new show. Agreed. Very intense. I thought they handled Lovecraft's racism quite deftly as well.

ST: TNG 418, "Identity Crisis" - the invisible Tron lizards are probably the coolest TNG alien design so far.

Series 2 of the umbrella Academy Well I wasn’t a big fan of the first series I thought it was a bit obvious and didn’t explain things particularly well But series 2 is a whole new ballgame the relationships were better explored ,the superpowers are better explained, and backstory helped make sense of the things that annoyed me in series 1
Lots of revelations, and set up for a third series.........
Excellent

TNG 419-20 The Nth Degree is obviously a great episode. Barclay's ascension is played very well; Schultz shows so many different sides of the character and really sells the spooky aspects of the piece. The resolution is a little quick, but that's the price to pay when you're jamming an interesting idea into a 45 minute episode! Qpid is just a wacky romp with lots of fun lines and gags. TNG's comedy can be weak if they lean too hard on it, but something as simple as Worf saying "I protest! I am not a Merry Man!" works for me. At the beginning, the Doctor Who part of my brain lit up and convinced me that Vash was going to be revealed to be Q's time-travelling companion (hence her presence and his name in the title), but then he'd never met her before. Although she ended up as his companion in the final scene! Which seems like a great fit. I've avoided looking ahead as much as possible so I have no idea whether they show up together again (and don't tell me!), but I'd gladly have watched a mini-series spin-off had they made one.

I'm in the middle of the third season of Dark. I love this show. It makes you work while watching, you can't multitask and understand what you're seeing. It's insane, and also the first time travel show I've watched that doesn't give a hoot about the paradoxes and time loops that it creates. Bootstrap paradox? What bootstrap paradox?

Worf smashing Geordi's lute or whatever it was is peak TNG comedy. I think on that show it works best as the odd line or moment and not as full episodes, but there are definitely exceptions. If you're a first-timer avoiding spoilers, then to everything else I can only say watch and find out! But you are in for some quality TV. ---- Hill Street Blues: Season 5, Episodes 4-6 - Andy Renko has become Officer Dad Bod, destroyer of pastries. Meanwhile Belker is undercover dressed as a damn chicken. Also, thanks to Twin Peaks, every time I see Miguel Ferrer, I can't resist shouting ALBERT! in my worst best David Lynch impression. And, strangely enough, I just saw James Sikking (Lt Hunter) in Star Trek III as the captain of the Excelsior, where his helmsman was... Miguel Ferrer. Kevin Bacon.

Hill Street Blues: Season 5, Episodes 7-9 - Why is it that TV show Thanksgivings always wind up thoroughly miserable for all involved?

Hill Street Blues: Season 5, Episodes 10-11 - Quite a miserable stretch of road for Belker, and very grim episodes in general.

Prodigal Son (Episode 3)
This series continues to be wonderfully melodramatic. If it keeps this up I will definitely be continuing with it.

Watching the two-part TNG story "Redemption" last night, finishing off Season 4 and starting Season 5. I had high expectations after the finale/premiere that was "Best of Both Worlds" and honestly, I thought this was a worthy successor to that and a good conclusion to this chapter of Worf's life. I was a little surprised that the Klingon sovereignty issue wasn't solved a little more finally - the episode makes it clear that both potential leaders are bad choices, yet one of them still ends up in charge at the end. But I'm also pretty sure we'll come back to this at some point!
All in all, Season 4 was pretty great and I'm looking forward to getting through Season 5. (Also now I'm only sixteen episodes away from the placement of that Doctor Who crossover comic, so I'm going to keep going through at a good rate!)

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

Well I watched Darmok today (and expect that one will make the top ten when all is said and done) so we're off to a great start! Temba, his arms wide. I concur, Seasons 4-5-6 is probably the strongest run of the show. As for the Klingon political situation, you are correct that there will be some more development on that. I don't know if you've seen Deep Space Nine, or plan on watching it, but there's a lot of further development on that show as well. Hill Street Blues: Season 5, Episodes 12-13 - Mob goons working in "waste management"? What a shock.

Sokath, his eyes opened."Darmok" is one of my favourites up there with "Who Watches the Watchers?" from Season 3 for exploring the whole idea of context. How intelligent life interpret foreign concepts based on their own experiences. Breaking in the new decade, that trio of seasons has that lovely feeling of confidence after the first few years of uncertainty. There's a strong sense that by its fourth year, The Next Generation has made it and, better still, the series has established its own personal identity. It's difficult to think of the early 1990s without thinking of TNG.

Hill Street Blues: "Dr Hoof and Mouth" - Man, JD is a friggin' creep sometimes. Grr! Some of the musical cues in this episode were just shy of sounding like Angelo Badalamenti's work, and it's giving me that Twin Peaks bug again...

Hill Street Blues: Season 5, Episodes 15-16 - I appreciate that the show's not afraid to have characters evolve into different roles over time. It helps to keep things interesting and opens up new story possibilities, especially when you're closing in on the 100-episode mark. Hell, they even (finally) found a suitable, useful role for the Captain's formerly-annoying ex-wife.

Avenue 5: First 3 episodes
I love this show and I adore Hugh Laurie in it! It’s such a sharp black comedy satire.....and exactly how I imagine commercial space travel will be in the future! Everything feels very real and relatable! Hugh Laurie is amazing as the captain and I love the little twists with him! I also love the sleek visuals of the ship and how everyone seems to dress in extremely bright colors! Basically this show is amazing !!!😊
