Mr Inbetween
(Darkly funny Australian Crime Drama. A debt collectors enforcer tries to go straight while raising his Daughter, nursing his dying Father, trying to keep his Brother and Sister in Law alive from her Russian Mob Family, being forced to take Jobs from his Ex-Boss's obnoxious Son, pursing a relationship with a local shop owner and having to attend court ordered group therapy for Anger Management.)

Star Trek TNG: "Haven" - Enter Lwaxana. Data describes the proceedings as petty bickering, and he's right. Season 1 definitely needed some personality, it's just too bad it had to be this personality. What saves this episode from true suckage are the funny reactions Lwaxana's presence brings out in Picard, Data, and Tasha in particular.
When it comes to the Lwaxana debate overall, I don't actually hate her most of the time. I think she was just written poorly early on. Later episodes like "Half a Life" or the DS9 one where she's stuck in the elevator with Odo go a long way toward softening the character.
The Simpsons: Ullman Shorts 17-18 - Cookie theft, a classic childhood pastime.

My wife and I just binged Staged with David John Tennant and Michael Christopher Sheen. I admittedly shrugged my shoulders a bit at the premise. 2020 has been a miserable year in countless ways, so why would I want to want to escape with show with the lockdown as a core part of its format and plot?
I loved every moment of it. I haven't laughed that hard in ages! Tennant and Sheen (and other guests, which I won't spoil) play themselves, but not in an exaggerated bizarre way like Extras. Their chemistry makes for hilarious exchanges, even though they're recording separately.
Loved this bit where they compare how they're spending their free time. Tennant and his kids sketched pineapples one night. Sheen, well... (NSFW language!)
The shorter episode format works very well so it never feels like it overstays its welcome. Highly recommended - so glad they're doing a second series!

Only Fools and Horses: "The Frog's Legacy" - I should've known we were in for a good time when I got Rickrolled by the opening scene. A good outing for the boys working together after things were left on such a sour note by "Royal Flush." It's a genuine adventure. Solve a mystery, rewrite history. Del Tales! (woo-oo)
The Simpsons: "Grampa and the Kids" - Abe's voice isn't right, but his demeanor and outlandish stories are bang on right out of the gate.
Star Trek TNG: "The Big Goodbye" - Ah, the first holodeck malfunction episode. I think this one's actually pretty fun. I like the Dixon Hill program. Beyond this, I can't think of too many other worthwhile holodeck stories save the Moriarty episodes. They didn't really improve upon the formula laid out here, and that includes repeating all the same flaws as well.

Star Trek TNG: Season 1, Episodes 12-14 - I could talk about "Datalore" but what hasn't been said already. Instead, I'll sing the (moderate) praises of "1001101" which is really underrated in my opinion. It's not one of the greats, but it's a very enjoyable one-off. It's the first time we really get to see the crew in their downtime, and even the eventual crisis is rather mild. This midsection from 10-20 is the strongest run of the first season.
The Simpsons: "Gone Fishin'" - Nothing noteworthy. Feels like a dry run for the camping episode in the first season of the series.
Blackadder: "The Cavalier Years" - A fun little snack. I lost it over the bouncing orange.

The Simpsons: Ullman Shorts 21-23 - Bart's first time skateboarding, the first visit to the church, and the second frosty chocolate milkshakes. It's all coming together.
Red Dwarf: "The End" - Well, here we are. Good to be back at the beginning of The End once more. Everybody's dead, Dave.
Star Trek TNG: Season 1, Episodes 15-16 - Sigh. Exhibit A why you shouldn't have kids on the damn ship - Some crazy dying race might snatch 'em up. Well, they can keep Wesley, I guess.

Fear the Walking Dead S6E7 Not a dreadful way to round out this half of the season, though it certainly wasn't the greatest entry so far. This episode seemed to wrap up about ten minutes too early, with a lot of semi-extraneous stuff filling the rest of the runtime, but that was probably the more interesting part! There's also a reasonable setup for the back half of the season, which is pretty surprising since this episode wasn't intended as the mid-season finale, but it's got me keen to see the rest of the season (which is more than I can say for the last two seasons), so it did something right! The Walking Dead: World Beyond S1E8 Finally! Something interesting finally happened! This show has been such a slow-burning slog that I was actually starting to consider dropping it, but I think this episode has convinced me I'll still be here when the show ends next season. I think we spent a little too long introducing the characters one at a time over the first seven episodes, but now that everyone seems to be in the picture it feels like we're actually making some genuine progress. It's weird, but for a show about a bunch of people out on a quest, it hasn't felt like we've spent much time out questing. Hopefully this will be changing when we get the two-part finale next week

Red Dwarf: Series 1, Episodes 2-3 - It's a smegging garbage pod!
Star Trek TNG: "Home Soil" - This is one of the better Season 1 episodes. Other than the whole Genesis fiasco, Trek doesn't often show terraforming in this kind of detail. A for effort. I get a kick out of them calling the silicon lifeform "microbrain" because that's what Q calls Worf...
The Simpsons: Ullman Shorts 24-25 - Our first "WHY YOU LITTLE!!"
I feel remiss in my fandom for not watching any Doctor Who on its birthday, but that's the way she goes sometimes. I'm still slogging through Scaredy Cat, which feels about forty times longer than it is...

Red Dwarf: Series 1, Episodes 4-5 - You know, I don't remember how the picture of Lister and his two kids plays out, if it comes up again at all. It's been a long time since I watched pre-Dave Red Dwarf.
The Simpsons: Ullman Shorts 26-27 - And here we have the fabled money jar. I remember Marge hiding it in her hair in the early days of the series, but I don't think they've brought it up for decades now. They didn't focus on how broke the family was very much beyond Season 2 or 3.
Star Trek TNG: "Coming of Age" - Part 1 of the parasite arc, and with it, a whole bunch of continuity. Every time an outside evaluator comes aboard Enterprise, they're always greeted with such hostility, and yet they very often have a point about the kinds of shenanigans that go on under Picard's watch. Also, despite the focus on Wesley, this is still a good episode because 1) It inches us closer to getting rid of him, and 2) He is, for once, a human teenager and not infallible. Good job.
