Only Fools and Horses: Series 6, Episodes 2-3 - Moving swiftly on, I'm liking the expansion to an hour format. They've had lots of practice already from the specials, but it's nice to have regularly. I'm also enjoying the more ensemble feel of this series. "Chain Gang" was particularly good. Mr Polly and I like the caper-type stories.
The Simpsons: "The Krusty the Clown Show" - And another Simpsons icon makes his debut in the shorts. Not just the clown himself, Bart's famous line, "I'm Bart Simpson, who the hell are you?" appears also. I seem to recall that Krusty and Homer were meant to be the same person originally. I don't know if that's true, but if it is, they must've changed their minds about it very early on, as Homer is at home watching Krusty and Bart on TV. Maybe it's a pre-taped show, but Homer seems surprised at Bart's bad behavior.
Twilight Zone '85: "Street of Shadows" - Yet another stupid bodyswap episode. At least it featured Charles Haid, which makes me miss Hill Street Blues just a little less.

Star Trek TNG: "The Schizoid Man" - Another in a long line of Data's "relatives." When I stroke the beard thusly, do I not appear more...intellectual?
Twilight Zone '85: "Something in the Walls" - Good episode. That rare and creepy feeling that you've seen something you shouldn't have is very powerful. Actually, taking the common human trait of seeing faces in various patterns and making it something sinister seems like a very NuWho sort of story. Like something Steven Moffat would have written.
Only Fools and Horses: "The Unlucky Winner is..." - Unlucky indeed. Poor Rodney. This reminds me of the way my mother used to pass me off as 12 years old for like four years in a row to try and get me cheaper haircuts.
The Simpsons: "Bart the Hero" - Another sort-of debut appearance. The Candy Store Bandit in this short bears a striking resemblance to the later Looter Larry character seen in video games on the series proper.

Star Trek TNG: Season 2, Episodes 7-8 - Pulaski is taking the idea of experiments on genetic engineering remarkably well considering the Federation's blanket ban on augments. Or maybe DS9 just screwed up continuity. "A Matter of Honor" is a really great Klingon episode. One of the early classics. Only Fools and Horses: "Sickness and Wealth" - I grow increasingly frustrated with Del's behaviour. This is a weaker link in the season for me. The stomach pain plot was fine, but it seemed like we lost track of the seance subplot a little bit. Big news at the end, though!! The Simpsons: "Bart's Little Fantasy" - Jeez, kid-sized Homer and Marge are creepy. Thanks for the nightmares! Columbo: "Columbo Goes to the Guillotine" - I don't care how certain in your trickery you are, Lieutenant. You shouldn't be sticking your neck in a lethal contraption that somebody was just murdered in. Twice. Twilight Zone '85: "Room 2426" - Dean Stockwell channels Gully Foyle and jauntes himself out of prison. Or does he? Skipped the "Game of Pool" remake because I doubt this show would improve upon the original.

Supernatural Finale POST CONTAINS SPOILERS.
Awful pointless twaddle, Episode 19 gave better closure as Sam & Dean drove off.
Just don't see the point, Dean dies from being impaled & Sam grows old has son & meets Dean in heaven.
No Cas in finale either shocking, for me the series ended with Episode 19.

The Blue Carbuncle, the ITV adaptation with the late Rosalind Knight in the cast. A fun Christmas adventure for Sherlock Holmes.

The Mandalorian
Season 1, Chapters 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.
In a single sitting.
I think I might be slightly addicted..
But I haven't been this enthused about Star Wars in years, so much so that if it wasn't for the fact I need to sleep I'd have pushed on with chapters 7 and 8. Simple, old-fashioned storytelling brilliantly told and with enough nods to the original films that if ten year old me had been watching he'd have been squeeing non stop at all the visual references.
I know it's been said by many already but I get it now : this is the way (I couldn't resist) the sequel trilogy should have gone.
Now on a separate issue...The Clone Wars. Worth my while taking a look or not?

I'll aim to start on Season 2 after Christmas....or maybe before Christmas....or maybe tonight....😊👍

Worth my while taking a look or not? The Clone Wars is definitely worth a watch. It really sets up a lot of the characters and motivations in Mando, although you don't need it per se. It starts out kind of slow, but stick with it. It's worth it. And Rebels is great too. In some ways I like it even more than Clone Wars. I'm glad you're enjoying the show. Just wait till you get to next season!

Only Fools and Horses: "Little Problems" - I spent the whole season angry with Del and then he goes and does a sweet thing like that....Let me stay mad, damn you! At my own wedding, I ended up shouting at the goat, so I don't think this one was all that nutty, really.
The Simpsons: "Scary Movie" - First mention of the Happy Little Elves. Bart wants to watch the Space Mutants movie, evoking memories of the very, very crappy Simpsons game by the same title back in the NES days.
Star Trek TNG: "Measure of a Man" - This right here is where the show proves just how good it could become. To this day, one of the franchise's greatest achievements, handling ideas, issues, and character expertly, and all in the same story. They don't make 'em like this anymore.
Twilight Zone '85: "The Mind of Simon Foster" - Selling your memories so that rich people can purchase and relive them is a very Philip K Dick sort of idea, and a great fit for the Twilight Zone. Good episode. Nice to see a post-Hill Street Bruce Weitz, though it is strange to see him not growl at people.

Netflix has Stargate SG-1!!!
Yes, I have started this again from the beginning, and boy have missed my SG1 team. It is a little dated (that line of Carter's about her reproductive organs being on the inside. Ugh.) but I sure to love this show. I'm looking forward to continuing my re-watch.

Excuse me What now!? LOL Regards mark687 Mr Polly and I had our wedding at the farm where I work. They have a big open field, and it's very beautiful. We were happy to let the animals wander about during the ceremony so the owners didn't have to wrangle them all some place else. During my vows, my favorite goat decided he ought to add his two cents to the proceedings, and did so at length. So I yelled at him to shut up. And he did, much to the amusement of our guests. That line was removed in the Director's Cut DVD of the Pilot. The creators were never happy with that one. The frontal nudity Showtime demanded is gone too, since they never wanted it to begin with.

A friend of mine actually did something similar (though the Animals were well behaved she finished the ceremony by "Randomly" picking a Russian tradition where your blindfolded and whoever of the Bride and Groom drinks the Voka Shot instead of the Water has the final Say in Martial Discussions, (naturally my friend the Bride won ) Regards mark687
