Currently watching Steve Backshall‘s documentary series on Sharks. Truly fascinating stuff.

Campion “Mystery Mile”
I do think it’s rather unfortunate that this series never really took off the same way Poirot or Miss Marple did. Peter Davison and Brian Glover are excellent in this and I do wish Campion as a character wasn’t so obscure.

Been making my way through Baywatch: remastered on Amazon Prime. I used to watch them on Comedy Central but they stopped and they only showed seasons 3-6.

Ah, the Arrowverse, doing sterling work trying to get as many of their shows as possible onto different tv channels.
Thinking about it, would this be the same slot that "Lois and Clark" had, back in the day? Of course, since the pun doesn't have the same resonance on this side of the world, they renamed the show for British audiences, so will they do the same with the new series? "The Newer Adventures of Superman", perhaps? (They'll be bringing back "Bugs", at this rate).
(Now, please, 4 Extra. Please, please cash in, and repeat the various Dirk Maggs series).

The new Star Trek episodes earlier today. And the first three episodes of Wheel of Time landed on Prime a little early, so I've just started that

Ain’t Misbehavin (1994 - 1995)
A series starring Peter Davison and Nicola Pagett and written by Roy Clarke of Last of the Summer Wine fame.
Actually rather funny in parts. I must admit outside of his Doctor Who work Peter Davison must be one of the most prolific British television actors of the latter half of the last century.

Wheel of time……episodes 1-3
Now while the click bait reviews don’t give this much love preferring to wade into bezos or calling it LOTR wannabe….
I certainly do not agree this is well crafted, and like LOTR did adapted rather than becoming a slave to what is very big & complex book
I have to say that while the casting choices, are not my images from the books, there not bad
It does a decent job of re-gigging the plot to make it faster, and more cinematic…….. It has its problems like most things, the trollocks look great but move like men in costume, the character development and internal thoughts from the book is gone.
But episode three ends where the Story pace changes from fellowship of the rings and more game of thrones…….so will be interesting to see how they tackle the politics etc.
I give it a solid 9 out of 10 for the first three episodes, it will be interesting to hear how well it translates to someone unfamiliar with the books
Proper serious fantasy is hard to find, this Is decent enough, I hope the rest of it continues as well as first 3 episodes

i watched the whedel of time as well. i am a big fan of the books. i didnt recognize much of the series or characters i know in the show. its one of those rthings that leave you scratching your head when the people adapting the book dont seem to want to adapt the books or seem to care for the characters from the book. i cant think of one scene from that first book that was in the 3 episodes. the trollac attack i guess counts. i want to be fair in of itself so thinking of the show as a remake it was pretty slow with lots of exposition which i guess you have to do

We are 4 episodes behind in "Walker Texas Ranger" season 2 so we watched ep 1 of that. Lots of changes from the last season, given the press release a few weeks ago that 1 of the main cast has left the show suddenly.

Cowboy Bebop (live action version) - 7 episodes in and having a blast. It's too bad there's so much online vitriol directed toward it; personally I'm enjoying it as its own thing. I'd actually finished a re-watch of the original series, so it's been fun to see how certain things were adapted and how it's branching off into new directions.

Wheel of time episode 1
quite enjoyed that,i really dont know anything about the books, epic sagas I didn’t really enjoy after lord Of the Rings in my youth .Dune saga. There was something about the sword and sorcery genre that just left me kind of dry.Watching this also there is a distinct feeling of sameness but i can take it and enjoy it and i am interested in the further episodes hopefully it will be a little bit different to LOTR and GoT enough to keep me interested and who knows maybe i will get around to reading the books one day(but I wouldn’t hold your breath 😂)It will be interesting to see this compete with the new Middle earth saga when its released.

Finished the new Cowboy Bebop and loved it, although...
{Spoiler} ...I can see why purists will be mad at what happened with Julia. Personally I thought it was a much more interesting change because she only exists to die in the original series. I loved it all and was ready for more and then...Ed finally showed up and her brief appearance and performance were so unfortunately over the top that it felt like a bad cosplayer doing a test YouTube video and took me out entirely. I watched the post-show special and it's clear that the young actor is sincere and enthusiastic but it's hopefully the creative team can fine-tune their look and performance if/when there's a season 2.

Wheel of Time ep2
I think this is quite magical I wouldn’t say its average at all its well filmed beautiful locations and one count of a mans bare arse so it fits the yes i can show this to my parents kind of vibe unlike a lot of GoT.It does have the usual fantasy things but it is energetic, mysterious, spooky and has had a lot of loving put into it.so yep will continue with episode 3
