Any chance we might see the Timewyrm stories on audio anytime soon?

I don't think so. Genesys and Exodus aren't that good and Revelation would be tricky to pull off since it's a very deep book.

From a production standpoint, since we have Peter Purves, Frazer Hines, Tim Treolare and Tom Baker, it wouldn't be as difficult to do once upon a time. I think it might actually help to elevate some of the books, but Revelation would have to be something like a six-parter to do proper justice to what it's trying to do with the Seventh Doctor and Ace. Think The Divine Comedy here.

Think The Divine Comedy here. 2 box sets. 1 of Genesys and Exodus both 4 parts. John Dorney to adapt Genesys and either Dicks or Briggs for Exodus. 1 Apocalypse as a two parter and Revelation as a Six Parter. Dorney adapts Apocalypse and someone else for Revelation.

I'd still like them to adapt The Eight Doctors, not really because I'm a fan of the book (I liked it more than most it seems, but it's not especially well regarded) I'd just like to hear the behind the scenes interviews/audio of the director tearing his hair out as they figure out how to juggle the cast.

4-4-2-6 sounds like a good fit.
I like Exodus and Revelation quite a bit - Exodus is pulpy as can be but I enjoyed it, Revelation is just pure fanservice done right with an interesting look at the Doctor and Ace. Genesys is alright - not a terrible start to the series. Apocalypse I barely remember but the bits I do could easily be smushed into a two-parter.

Apocalypse is so inconsequential to the Timewyrm arc. You could skip it and not miss anything.

The Timewyrm arc is up (or down) there with War of the Daleks for a lot of fans. Nightshade really should stand as the start of the New Adventures at least on audio.

Exodus and Revelation are great, Revelation is phenomenal in fact, but Genesys is one of the titles that uses the sex and swearing to be adult rather gratuitously. Apocalypse could be take out of the sequence and there'd be no consequence to the arc.

My problem is Revelation. Big Finish could fix the first three and make them worthwhile but Revelation is fanw@nk at it's worst.

The continuity serves a plot purpose rather than being there to affirm the writer's fan cred. For bad fanjodrell look at Gary Russell's Legacy. The Eight Doctors was basically the Greatest Hits of Terrance Dicks, Oh And There's The Eighth Doctor And A New Companion At Some Points.

Well, it'll be hard, considering Edward Brayshaw is now dead.

"Hitler was so insane, he trapped the Timewyrm in his brain" isnt even GOOD nonsense.

Want much! Exodus was one of the first novels i ever read, before Genesys actually. {Spoiler} C'mon, Zombie Nazis! How could i resist? As for 'Kriegsieter', well a new actor would fit with the whole botched regeneration as others have mentioned. Plus those who like that theory can finally get a pre-Delgado Master, if they like. Win-win all round I'd like to see what they could do with them, perhaps dare i even say, exchange the TimeWyrm for the Time War, like in a certain other adaption?

Kriegsleiter would be handled particularly well by Big Finish methinks. The Timewyrm grew into a really interesting character come Revelation. I'd really, really like it if they played it as it was in the novels. Imagine the chillingly sleek, chrome soundscape they could manage with her/it.

Revelation is the sort of pretentious nonsense that thankfully wouldn't be seen again until Zagreus. Cornell has never been high on my list of preferred authors, although at least his stuff is better than Cartmel's, much of which is just borderline sleaze.
