So are there four Holmes siblings, or is Sherrinford another name for Eurus? I presume that 'Sherrinford' is an institution where she's supposed to have been locked away, or something. But will we meet Harold Chorley of BBC News in the next episode? Probably not... I loved the Harold Chorley news report. Lovely little touch, though he must be getting on a bit now. Perhaps this is Harold junior, following in his father's footsteps.

What if there's still another brother and the Tom Hiddleston rumours are true? "People always stop looking after three..." Oh I like that. Maybe Sherrinford was meant to be looking after Eurus

"People always stop looking after three..." Oh I like that. Yes. That's very clever. If it's not going to turn out that way, I reckon Moffat and Gatiss will kick themselves for not thinking of it themselves. (In the same way that Kim Newman, in his Moriarty novel, said how much he wish'd he'd thought of the "Dear Jim, please can you fix it" joke first).

Could you point me in its general direction?

Not heard of that book. Could you point me in its general direction? "Moriarty: The Hound of the D'Urbervilles" has Moriarty as a consulting criminal patterned as an evil Sherlock Holmes, with Colonel Moran as his Watson. Each chapter is a take-off of a Sherlock Holmes story but also relates to another work of literature (e.g. "A Study in Vermillion" is a sequel to "Riders of the Purple Sage" by Zane Grey).

He had a real daughter, which must have been public knowledge, and Eurus impersonated her and visited Sherlock.

Smith's a hugely public figure it's not unlikely his daughter is too. The real problem is how did she know about the note the daughter had made or that Smith had even confessed to her

Didn't she say Culverton had contacted her to pretend to be his daughter?

Didn't she say Culverton had contacted her to pretend to be his daughter? I don't remember that, but I'm going to have to rewatch this season's episodes to pick up on stuff that I missed. I'm not sure why Culverton would do that though, since he would have gotten away with everything if Holmes hadn't gotten involved. On the other hand, Culverton is nuts, so you never know.

Don't remember that either, Culverton showed no sign of knowing why Sherlock had even come.

I've just watched that section again. She says "Culverton gave me Faith's original note; a mutual friend put us in touch"

I just rewatched the last scene, and that is where she explains that. Presumably Moriarty, or whoever is behind the "miss me" message is the one who put Euras in touch with Culverton.
