I think the previous thread is more about reaction to the news. There's a lot if comment there about whether people are interested in the idea at all. So I do think the two feel separate.

I'd like to see what happened to Adam straight after The Long Game , when his mum found out he had a door in his head.

I'd like to see what happened to Adam straight after The Long Game , when his mum found out he had a door in his head. I agree. It was a funny gag to end the story on but made no sense narratively. So the Doctor doesn't want Adam to misuse knowledge of the future but leaves him with this piece of future tech in his head? Definitely room for a story where 9 comes back to clean up the mess that could cause.

I don't see the point in overwriting any previous 9th Dr stories given the low number of them.

Well, I'm probably going to pass on this range anyway, but I'd love to hear Bernard Cribbins return as Wilf.

I'm going to hold off on these, mainly because I sometimes need to pay rent and eat. ''Big Finish: We love your money stories''

You're not convincing me. I still have no interest in Adam.

In an ideal world I'd quite like the following for the Tenth and Eleventh Doctor Chronicles:
Martha, Donna, Donna & Wilf, River Amy & Rory, Clara, River, Paternoster
I'd prefer them to not have the Doctor narration, but it is what it is. I also appreciate that the likes of Freema Agyeman, Karen Gillan and Jenna Coleman probably aren't chomping at the bit to return. They could replace the Martha and Clara stories with an original companion maybe? Arthur Darvill could read the Amy & Rory one perhaps.
I'd pre-order both of them in a heartbeat with a lineup like that, though.

I see no reason why we can't have an audio story filling that obvious plothole. Big Finish weren't afraid to contradict other stories about sixes regeneration so I don't think a Titan comics storyline would prevent them either. Unless they were doing Titan comic adaptations.

Either before they got together (and maybe foreshadow that a little), or afterwards. I reckon that would be a good team.

I may be interested in this, but I'll wait to order until I hear more about it.

As much as I love Nick Briggs, I've just been listening to The Kingmaker and Stephen Beckett who played Richard already sounds incredibly like Chris Ecclestone. I think he would make a brilliant 9th Doctor substitute.

I think the reason they've gone with Briggs for these is to avoid it looking like a recast in the event that they do get Eccleston, Tennant or Smith on board somewhere down the line - a neutral option, as it were.

I think he would make a brilliant 9th Doctor substitute. I had that exact thought when listening to Kingmaker, to the point where I paused it and double-checked the cast notes to make sure it wasn't him.

I think we're probably still a fair way off from this happening, though with Frema establishing herself in the states and Noel Clarke's film career.

Guys, I think it's important to stress that given David Teannet's busy schedule and the other main players of the revival expanding their careers elsewhere and Ian McNeice's being a very in demand actor, that it's fairly likely that The Doctor Chronicles strongly likely to be Big Finish's main avenue of expanding upon the revival eras under their licencise.
Not to undermine the immense intrest in these eras, but this is still very much an experimental format with a wider audience. Yes, Big Finish puts out a lot, but if I'd strongly suggest that if you can invest in these sets, do so.
