For what it's worth, even though this was the case with the Season 9 one so we assumed it would be again, Amazon have updated the Season 10 steelbook to say it IS exclusive through them.

HMV have got the Shada steelbook listed now - at 24.99, cheaper than anywhere else, even Zoom with the discount code. HMV's delivery and service beats Zavvi, Zoom and Amazon so it's a no-brainer. Locked in my order there. Add on 52 pence Quidco cashback and 2499 HMV Purepoints and winner-winner chicken dinner.

I do find that a disappointing decision by BBC Worldwide. Amazon are great, but it's always better when you have a choice where to buy something from.

'Shada' steelbook is now £24.99 at Amazon too, listed as steelbook 'Best Seller'.
For Third Doctor fans, Zavvi 'Spearhead From Space' blu-ray steelbook is now down to £9.99.

I received mine today. Beautiful Steelbook, comes with three very cool artcards - The Doctor, Bill and the Master/Missy.
They're lenticular cards, and when you tilt them the image changes. Won't spoil the image changes but they are probably the most amazing physical special feature since the Series 9 booklet with the Target-style cover.

Mine came too - I didn't knoow about the cards - they are UBER-COOL lenticulars. Believe me, DB's right not to spoil them - two have sweet little reveals The set is even more gorgeous in person and looks great next to Series 9. I'm a wee bit annoyed about the lack of booklet this time but hey - those cards.....

My only criticism of the Steelbook is it would be nice if there had been something stating which episodes are on which disc.

I got mine too - I thought I was going to miss out on Release Day when nothing had happened by last night... ... then whoosh! Dispatched, transited, delivered all in under 9 hours starting early today. Good work. Open with care - with 3 discs stacked on each spindle it's just asking for one to come loose in transit. (I like the internal artwork too.) The cards were a surprise for me also - they are very, very cool and deserve viewing under a strong light for the best effect as you do the horizontal tilt to shift the images. {Spoiler}The Doctor card is my favourite, great effect. The 'Bill' one on first viewing - yikes! (Is it just me who carefully snipped off the sticker from the shrinkwrap to keep inside the sleeve? )

On the contrary (sort of): I couldn't recommend Amazon Prime enough. Fast delivery, many shows and films to watch, music to stream etc... It has improved a lot.

Yes, but on the contrary to that.....I didnt pay a penny and got mine the same day as you. So how is Prime faster? And I have a hell of a lot of choice of TV and film....with Netflix.

Yours (Supersaver) was dispatched 3 days before mine was (Prime) so they arrived on the same day - I'd guess that for this exclusive item they went the extra mile to make sure everyone who had pre-ordered well in advance got their copy on release day. And maybe, first in, first out - how many seconds elapsed between announcement and order?

And maybe, first in, first out - how many seconds elapsed between announcement and order? Well, that would explain an isolated incident but I order plenty from Amazon and they almost always get it to me on release date - and from more than a few people on bluray.com I know Prime used to get them early Sunday deliveries - not any more. I don't have an issue with Prime but I'd get it as a TV service more than a delivery one - and I've got enough blurays, DVDs and streaming without another!
