Dalek, we know you're enthused, but as has been pointed out multiple times, you cannot blindly believe in every rumour thrown around. This guy could very well, if not probably, be lying for the sake of attention. I don't 100% believe it yet. Well we can safely say that either this rumour or the first one you quoted on this thread is false, as they completely contradict each other.

Perhaps it's because he introduced so, so many people to the show. Probably more than anyone else since Tom Baker. I fail to see how him introducing lots of people to the show explains or excuses such behavior from people. I can understand people being excited for the 10DAs, I was too, but the level of "Fůck everything else, Tennant is the only one who matters" after the first set news leaked was sickening. It isn't' a big deal. Some people only like the 10th Doctor.

It would certainly be one way to drum up interest in comic strip adaptations. I bet Big Finish wish they had the new series license when they started making novel adaptations.

I think Big Finish would be more interested in telling new, original stories rather than retelling other stories from different mediums. Unless the novel is out of print (unlikely for a New Series story, I'd think) or otherwise obscure to most people, I don't think there'd be much of a point.

I bet Big Finish wish they had the new series license when they started making novel adaptations. Why? There are several dozen classic novels that would come long before the new ones. And getting actors for the new ones is their biggest challenge. I wouldn't mind a 10th doctor series with Rose, but its not going high on my priority list, cause yes, I cant stand the character that Billie Piper created, and that shows her greatness as an actor, but I still really dislike Rose. But, that's another thread.

I don't think it's fair to say it would be pointless. We're talking about a completely different medium. You may as well say all film adaptations of books are pointless too.

Fair point on adaptations, but, again, I think Big Finish would be more interested in telling new stories rather than adapting old ones - especially with Doctors they haven't worked with as much.

If they have managed to get DT in for more, then I imagine new material rather than adaptations of existing stuff would be their priority. (And the comic strip adaptation was recorded some time ago, this seems to be more recent.)

That's a good point. They haven't got long to announce this if they want to make the announcement before Series 10 without overshadowing it.

I am tempted to maybe entertain the possibility that Billie has done an about-face on her stated in interviews opinion she's done eith Rose, because unlike any return to TV here she'd be with David who by all accounts she got along with really well.
But I'm not at all tempted to entertain the possibility of me buying them as series 2 damn near killed my lovevof Doctor Who.
