Seeing the news article was the first I’d heard about The Human Frontier being critically acclaimed. All the comments and reviews I’d read were critical, bordering on scathing. Even the quotes in the article aren’t full of acclaim, most seem rather specific. And the Doctor Who Watch quote is a bit back handed, isn’t it?
Still, if it’s done well for Big Finish then I’m happy for them. It’s good to see an original get renewed for a further release.

Shocked that the first properly renewed BF Original is Briggs' personal brainchild.
SHOCKED I TELL YOU.

Anyone taking bets on this being out before Jekyll and Hyde? Doesn't Briggs own this own series outright and just licenses it to BF? I'd say that'll put if first.

I love Richard Armitage and I think he'll make a glorious Rassilon, though I am slightly disappointed they made such a big thing of Terence Hardiman's casting if he was a one-off.

Not sure if the story titles and writers are new info
Romana is lost to the Time War though Leela and Narvin still fight to survive. A resistance, caught between Rassilon’s fury and the Dalek Emperor’s mania, have a desperate plan to stop the conflict. Everything ends. And for some on Gallifrey, the Time War will soon be over. 4.1 Deception by Lisa McMullin 4.2 Dissolution by Lou Morgan 4.3 Beyond by David Llewellyn 4.4 Homecoming by Matt Fitton Further story details to follow.

I'm genuinely shocked they're not extending the range, or tying it in with other Time War ranges for a "big finale" to this first phase of releases.

I'm genuinely shocked they're not extending the range, or tying it in with other Time War ranges for a "big finale" to this first phase of releases. Its disappointing for a couple of reasons:
Romana and The 8th Doctor never re-encounter each other and explore what has become of their friendship (especially after the events of Zagreus back in 2003)
{Spoiler} Legacy of Time Collision Course had a Pre-Time War 8th Doctor hence why he was so bubbly in that story
Secondly i think Gallifrey Rebuilding itself post time war is the most interesting concept they could easily introduce new characters and explore the power struggle with the high council and war council
Missed Opportunities there Big Finish

Perhaps they're planning to move Gallifrey into the post-Day of the Doctor era.

Nice to have a range with a definitive ending as opposed to almost every other range which are just ad infinitum these days.

This is Big Finish we are talking about.

I think saying ATA Girl 2 was *just* commissioned for International Women's Day is doing a massive disservice (bordering on offensive) to the hard work of the team behind it considering it's been hinted at quite long before IWD 2020 and is a series that defines itself quite more than just being "A female-led piece" when you consider the stories that's told within and received lots of attention.
By all indications The Human Frontier too has been receiving good sales and from what I've seen has been receiving good reviews from multiple platforms, by many people. But fiddlesticks to Briggs, eh. Christ the cynicsm of this forum is I need to stop swearing maddening at times.
