Ah, if only... and confirm that the War in Heaven and the LGTW are just different aspects of the same transtemporal event. I'd love a crossover between EDA's Eight and Carley's War Doctor. Dunno about the rights. I mean, if they don't mind having to accommodate Frankham-Allen, would Miles be too much of a hassle? Still, though, Wintertime Paradox seemed to have no problem using them, although I don't know if that was just a case of not being clear enough who they were to sound any alarms. Maybe a co-production with Obverse (or Magic Bullet, if that's still a thing)? A TLV-type event, on a much smaller scale, would be cool. Sorry I’m being thick but I just can’t think what LGTW is? Last Great Time War, I think. I’m not a massive fan of the War in Heaven/Time War being one and the same, I prefer to think as the Time War filling the void of the War in Heaven timeline being erased (cos it’s just somehow destined for the Time Lords to fall). See The Never War chapter of Gallifrey Historia, whenever it’s finished.

Hmm... *scratches chin, thoughtfully* I agree with you both, actually, I can definitely see elements of it being a consequence and the flipside of the coin.
The Time Wars, from Vampires to Daleks, strike me a bit like a combination of Schrodinger's cat if we used Matryoshka dolls. After the war is done, it all exists in a linear fashion upon the shelf. One after the other. For these two conflicts, we have two dolls. One green, the other red. From the outside, they look the same, but if we pop them open -- we see that the Red Doll is made of some smaller Green Dolls and vice versa. The end result is the same, the larger dolls don't change, but the two Wars nudge one another into accentuating the final effect (like our idea of Rassilon's reaction to knowledge of the future, influencing that same future, creating a feedback loop -- or paradox).

Praise for Box of Delights and another request for Gift Certificates or the chance to gift a specific release result in a quite honest answer that the sites not built for purpose in some respects but when do you have and would it worth the website downtime to update it? I always feel a bigger deal is made to implement this than is needed. Same for making bundles for specific Doctors / companions. The technology exists and there’s nothing involved that they don’t already have except a “To” field when it comes to gifting. As for downtime, it would be minimal. Presumably they’d have Dev & UAT instances where it can be thoroughly tested and it’s just pushing the update set to Production. Implementation would do be late night / early morning of the host country like every other company does. You can never guarantee it won’t inconvenience someone, but you do it when the disruption is minimal and advertise it at least a week ahead of time.

Or the company that does their website is really incompetent. Probably both

Honestly what’s wrong with buying a CD for their friends/ family? I buy them for friends all the time 1) I live in America. The shipping rates make it too expensive. 2) If I want to buy a gift for someone who already listens to BF, I don't know what they still need/don't have. This way they can get what they want. 3) Yes, as previously said, no download.

The cynic in me thinks it’s the typical scenario of the vendor building the website and not using best practices. It makes it difficult / impossible for anyone else other than them to make improvements or configurations outside of the basic admin work (listing new products, articles, etc.). Essentially forcing them to use the vendor for any modifications at an inflated price.
Been there, done that, got the t-shirt (and the bill!).

Catching up on the podcast and was listening to the May 30 one where they selected reviews of "The Shattered Hourglass." It turns out they picked a one liner I wrote in Twitter on January 6 where I just said "Another great short trip" referring to it. They have great fun playing with my Twitter handle (nottenst) then adding st to a few words for about 15 seconds. Even though my name is displayed right there in Twitter, I guess they wouldn't have had as much fun with that, though they have done so when reading an email in the past.
Looking back I am quite surprised they are reading reviews of a short trip from so many months in the past, but with only one a week I guess that can happen.

Can i clarify what the license comment means? I think it means they probably aren’t looking into re obtaining the rights of licenses such as The Tomorrow or Sapphire and Steel.

Can i clarify what the license comment means? The example used was Judge Dread it Didn't sell enough to justify the expense in reacquiring the Licence as is the case with others. Regards mark687

Shame that they wont try to get the license back for Stargate and The Tomorrow People
