Sounds like.. everyone needs to write in to the podcast this week and legitimately/politely/constructively explain that what he said isn't correct- and spell it out for him. You do realize Nick would probably go super nova if that were to happen. Better than Nick sticking his head in the sand like an Ostrich!
Nick needs to enter the real world, the world that the Big Finish customers have been living in for the past few weeks.

But there's no need for him to do so.
He has the core Dr. Who fans that just buy everything.
& the acolytes who give glowing reviews in return for advanced copies.

A lot of people here very angry at Briggs for not answering or not understanding what the tech people are telling him. But he's a 62 year old man who admits he doesn't understand the technology but reads out what he's been sent.
It looks pretty clear to me from what was written on the website before the podcast was released that the issues are mostly affecting people with large libraries - so it's the list of items that the app is struggling to download or timing out on, because it can't do that incrementally. It's similar to sending an email with a 10kb attachment or a 10Mb attachment. The latter is more likely to fail.
Someone has to fix that issue (or add a "hide all" button to the app and website) but it's not going to be Briggs and, no matter how much you shout at him, he can't make people fix it any faster. He admitted he was as frustrated as we are. I don't think people will be happy until he wairs a hair shirt and parades around Cadogan Hall Theatre in it.
Also, the person who wrote in also complained about messages being deleted from a Facebook group, which has got nothing to do with Brigges or even Big Finish, as they don't moderate any groups to my knowledge. So we can't be too harsh on people for "not understanding the issues"|.

I was also going to say perhaps they should get someone on from the IT team to explain the problem but, apart from what's already written on the website, what are they going to add apart from 'Yes, I am working on a fix but now I have had to take time off to do this podcast interview'?

Final thought. Briggs is the creative director. He doesn't own the business and I also doubt very much he had anything to do with deciding on the new direction for the website or app. So it's Jason we should be asking for explanations from.

A 62-year-old is "young enough" to either understand tech or get the correct information about what the technical problems are with the app and website. It's also "old enough" to know better than to spout off about something he really doesn't seem to understand without first checking with his tech people to make sure he is passing on the right information correctly. I don't accept the age excuse, as someone who knows people much older than 62 with a good understanding of tech and the issues that can arise with tech. elkawho did speak to Jason at LI Who and I believe she explained what she learned from Jason elsewhere on the forum.

Yes. Too many people use the 'too old' excuse. We live in a world now where tech is such a part of our lives we all either need to learn or find someone that does know, in this case get them to explain or prepare the info for Briggs to pass on to what they call 'loyal customers'.

He literally said on the podcast that's what he did. Did you listen to it? If you look upthread, you'll see I did listen. But what he said made no sense, so it's clear he didn't write down what his tech people said or didn't get it clearly articulated to him by the tech team. Or maybe they clearly articulated what was going on, but he didn't understand it so he didn't transmit the information in a manner that made any sense, instead of making sure he was describing the problem correctly. What he said was literally wrong and not what's happening. People are not trying to download their entire libraries all at once. Not only is that a ridiculous idea but it's literally impossible if you have a large library. Maybe I'm lacking imagination, but I don't know anybody with enough space on a mobile device to download 1000+ releases to their mobile device, never mind downloading it "all at once."
