Where do you get that from? Based on my memory of the original announcement, I thought it was going to be entirely full-cast. As no-one's followed up on this, I might as well - no, neither the original announcement nor the recent news story used the phrase "full-cast". Ah.

I see that, over on The Doctor Companion website, RTD quotes Gridlock as his favourite Doctor Who serial that he wrote....
So I am sure he was pleased that Big Finish wanted to further develop his ideas.

I'm in the opposite camp. The more I find out, the more interested I am in this. And I say that because we are getting something pretty rare in Big Finish. Pure world building on a planet that isn't our Earth. And the writers line up is pretty impressive.

I'd probably buy a Handles origin set. One spin-off too many: Ursula and Elton, Investigators of Infernal Incidents. I was hoping that Bill would turn out to be Handles! lol I would have much preferred no Snowmen Clara, but that there be just one Clara. This Clara would travel with the Doctor, exit, and in a bitter end, would turn into Soufle Girl from way back in Asylum.

Worth noting the cast list is still seemingly incomplete.
I would presume James Dreyfus' character is going to turn out to be not as advertised, if you get my drift.

All sounds a bit generic to me. The only stories that sound interesting are the two featuring the Doctor, and if David Tennant hasn't secretly recorded lines for this during 10DA V2 recording sessions then I don't really see the point in featuring this incarnation of the Doctor. Why not just get Peter Davison or Colin Baker on-board, and have the Doctor properly present in the story?

Still not really sold on this one. I'll see what reviews it gets and maybe consider it then.

The only real draw would be if they had got David Tennant to record some lines during recording of 10DA V2 and if he has, I wouldn't have thought they'd keep it secret. They'd probably announce it to generate more interest in the set.

Well, I can't wait. New Earth was a great way to showcase the exciting unknown universe - and now we get to live in it! A Doctor Who alien world expanded beyond an episode(s) in series-form is an exciting proposition. Hame striking for redemption and her own experiences with (and complicity with) darkness makes her a very intresting lead indeed.

I'm looking forward to it - it features some familiar things from the TV series that I thought were very striking, but still a bit of a blank canvas so I think it's exciting to see what Big Finish comes up with. The cast list is interesting too, though - certainly doesn't hurt any for me that Senator Hame is DI Menzies in her spare time, or that Yasmin is Roz and Dayna in hers.

Well, anyway, those who get it please do report on how it goes. I cannot very well complain about Who without an active Doctor role if I've got Dalek Empire, Cyberman, I,Davros (though the latter who I haven't listened to quite yet - busy busy).
I think I'll hold off until said reviews this time, though. We barely saw New Earth. But BF is BF...

Wondering if the Louise Gold listed in the cast is the same Louise Gold who worked on the Muppet Show and many subsequent UK-produced Muppet productions - that'd be pretty nifty!

Cast
With Adjoa Andoh (Sister Jara), Yasmin Bannerman (Sapling Vale), Anna Hope (Senator Hame), Kieran Hodgson (Devon Pryce), Derek Griffiths (Xylem Maple Dorm); James Dreyfus (The Most Exalted High Persian); Julian Rhind-Tutt (Berkhoff) and Louise Gold (President Grosseteste)
Further cast details to be announced shortly Have pre-ordered this, I am assuming it is full cast, this seems to be in doubt in some quarters?? More like"The Churchill Years" some are saying

I’m not that interested in this, but if Dreyfus is playing the Master then I’m sure I’ll get it.
