There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

I saw the Musical Disney's Lion King this week in Hamburg. It was a great show full of great performances. I especially loved the puppetry and the fluid and uncanny use of puppets in this. The savanna really comes to life! Only issue I had was, that in the beginning, I was wondering why all the songs sounded different. Duh. If you go to a musical show in GERMANY, yes, of course the songs will be in GERMAN. One of my friends played Pumbaa in the original Australian run of The Lion King. He lost 9 kilos in the first six months because of the puppet/costume.

No wonder all of these performers had such well muscled bodies!

Saw The Mind Mangler last night which is the newest production from the company behind the “Goes Wrong” series. Genuinely very funny and we lucked out with a good audience as it relied a lot on audience participation.

Do concerts count for this? Just have been to the amazing "Rock meets Classic". Fantastic performances. The musicians gave everything. They had people like Supertramp, Robert Shortino and Robert Hart. I of course was especially looking forward to hearing Tarja Turunen (Nightwish). Simply fantastic. Plus very good vibes and atmosphere and pretty much everyone got up and danced and clapped along. Except for my aunt.... she is a bit difficult. For her, it was too loud and the artists were too old. Ah well. You can cook the most amazing dish, if someone really wants to find a hair in it, they will do so. In any case, my uncle and I enjoyed ourselves.

Saw the "Circus of Horrors- Inferno!" show yesterday. On the way, I ran unto a horrid accident on the autobahn, I never saw that many emergency vehicles all come together... over the past few days, we had the winter come back, and a freak snow shower hit the road, and at a guess, these people went too fast, did not see, and all ran into one another. 7 cars had piled into each other. We stood there for 30 mins, total standstill, then the police waved all cars through the accident zone one by one. I was 30 mins late for the show. Anyways, my uncle and I enjoyed the show. My aunt hated it (she was the replacement for my sister, who I had invited originally, but she is sick). The show took place in hell, and you had Lucifer and his demons (all the performers dressed up in horror costumes). You had the usual circus performers, I especially liked the sword swallower, who did not swallow a sword, but a full on pneumatic chisel (not sure if that is the word, it is those machines workmen use when drilling into roads). he also did partially cut is arm off with a knife (lots of blood), but that was 100% fake, since his arm was not scarred (which it would be if he did this every evening). Lots of flames and pyrotechnics. Great costumes. Very good atmosphere with the audience, people really enjoyed this (and the show was sold out!). The only borderline thing was the demon clown jugling with dildos. That was totally NOT my type of humor. But hey, I cannot like everything.
